"Our first visit today. I am a meat eater (reducing my intake of meat though) and the Mrs is a vegan and it is so difficult to find somewhere that serves a balance of food suitable for her and that will keep me interested too. There are so few places around East Lancashire/above Manchester so we were delighted to get a recommendation for Earthlings from our vegan friend. Simple elegant decor and a spotlessly clean premises, an interesting menu and specials board and very friendly staff. So...the food I went for the breakfast burrito, a beautiful purple coloured wrap with mushrooms, ‘Sosage’ pattie and whole earth baked beans, salad leaves and tomatoes on the side. I would have licked the plate clean had social etiquette allowed. The Mrs went for the Pumpkin seed, quinoa and Chia burger with slaw salsa and a few sweet potato cubes on the side from the specials board. I didn’t try hers, but she made approving noises and faces whilst she ate and said after how nice it was. Dessert was choc orange cheesecake with a scoop of vanilla Booja Booja ‘ice cream’ for me and Lavender and Lemon cheesecake with a scoop of berry sorbet for the Mrs. A cappuccino and an Americano brought the bill to around £33 money well spent and we will definitely be going back!"

"Got told about this place by a friend and thought it sounded good so we booked for the other Sunday and my wife and I went over and it was fantastic, great place, a proper hidden gem, live music and she was brilliant sorry don’t know who she was food amazing and staff absolutely fantastic. We had a few dishes from Ribs, Wings, Duck, Garlic Prawns, Spring Rolls and they were all cooked to perfection, places like this are hard to find outside of big cities like Manchester but whomever has bought this place and made it into this great eatery needs a pat on the back. I’m a big believer in a good place to eat needs to be visited again to make sure that we didn’t just get a lucky meal so we have just returned for an early tea and again the food was outstanding, the waitress was really nice, very chatty and very efficient In taking order and getting drinks but also looked after us all meal, the food was even BETTER than the first time we went so I can only say if you get chance then go, we have told loads of people about this place and cannot wait to return with friends, we’ll done Holcombe Tap and the staff you have a brilliant place to come and enjoy great food."

"We happened to stop by while taking a walk around Egerton, and the staff were incredibly accommodating, seating us in one of the booths at the front. They were fantastic! Our drinks arrived quickly, and as soon as we ordered our meals, the food followed shortly after. I must admit, we were initially spoiled for choice with such a great selection of dishes on the menu. We decided to start with the goat cheese and halloumi appetizers, and both were absolutely delicious! Definitely a must for cheese lovers! For our main courses, we chose the Italian chicken gnocchi and a burger with fries. Both dishes were generous in size and really tasty! The burger was quite the challenge—definitely a big one to get your mouth around! I will definitely be returning to try some other dishes, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends!"

"my elders have just returned from an overnight stay here and they cannot recommend them enough. during the review in the personal were so friendly and accommodating, in the bedroom it was about their expectation. the color, the style, cleanliness and comfort were fantastic, the free, prosseco, the beer, the obst etc. was such a wonderful note. her evening meal comes from the festive menu, she said, it is the best Christmas meal she had in 70 years (that is her age) I would like to say personally: many thanks that they feel completely looked around, great start to Christmas 2017. larraine pat foley"
