17th century, thatched, village pub. Has recently been sympathetically redecorated and updated without losing too much of it's character. Good service, good pub-grub, reasonably priced.

Decent country pub with a really cosy interior. There's a range of typical pub food which was served fairly quickly. They were very dog friendly, as were the other customers! All in all, a nice pub to stop in at.

Excellent pub in centre of small village. Food menu very varied and reasonably priced. Good choice of ales behind bar. Staff friendly and attentive to needs. Well recommended. Returning in 2 weeks for evening meal.

Great little traditional pub, which hoards many historical items. The ambience is 'Charles Dickens ' era and many of the original buildings features are still present. Limited car parking but the menu makes up for that, nothing overly fancy, but really tasteful fare. The village of Mawnan Smith is centred mainly around the church and the pub.

Excellent light lunch. Ciabatta with ham and cheese and fish cakes both hot and tasty. Good choice of draught beers and a G&T served correctly in a branded glass. Prompt friendly service. Very attractive and atmospheric interior with lots of different seating areas. Limited parking outside but easily found roadside in the village. Great alternative to the crowded honeypot pubs in the area.
