Booked a lunch for myself and friend. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Had the 3 course for £18.50 option- food very good, big portions and nicely presented. Will definitely book again.

Family gathering for 80th birthday celebration. Staff very friendly, couldn't do enough for us and made the day even more special. Food fantastic, cater for meat lovers, veggies, and vegans. Everyone emptied their plates. Beautiful venue, oak beams, and floor boards, open fires, beautifully decorated.

close to the main road to penhow and beautiful historical converted building. friendly staff and beautiful furnishings. the food is delicious, freshly prepared and well presented. they can really busy evening meal time, so it is advisable to make reservations before the time. a trip to the landscape worth a beautiful evening!

first time to visit. I was recommended. menu choice was extensive and for meat lovers, sweet and vegan. very tasty and hot, my supplement to the cook! pub is very beautifully decorated and has Kovid protocols on site and place. personal really friendly and attentive. the atmosphere was welcoming and warm. highly recommended and certainly not my last visit. we recently had a beautiful Sunday-Roast dinner with the family. the meat was tender and there was a good selection of vegetables. the only mistake was the cheese sauce on the cauliflower which looked out and tasted as if it was from a package. However, this has not distracted too much from the overall experience, as we were hit with large desserts, chocolate wing cake, a really beautiful apple cake and a cream-bub. a very nice lunch.

visited this beautiful pub and restaurant recently with lunch after my daughter graduation party to celebrate. the place is absolutely beautiful, very welcoming. the personal was fantastic, attentive and helpful. a special young man who served our table should be mentioned, but not sure that his name was sad, he was very helpful, fast and polite. eating was stunning, and service prompt. looked through the beautiful real fire and had some hours. highly recommended and can wait to return

I’ve never made a review before but my experience at the rock and fountain compelled me too as there was this one gentleman named Rhys that went above and beyond for myself and my family to make our experience the best it could be. This young gentleman was always on his feet not only bringing out drinks and food but always making sure the fire was always big and roaring which my youngest daughter loved to watch whenever he put more logs on the fire. The food was amazing especially for the price! I will definitely be coming back with my friends and what Rhys was telling us about the lodge up top, I’ll 100% be recommending it to my fitness and family’s for events and parties as it’s so local t...
