Great service as ever from Steve and the team. Had the duck breast which was cooked to perfection. Always an enjoyable experience whenever I come in for lunch or dinner. Keep up the good work guys

Booked on line, seating was a slow but not helped by customers just sitting at any table. Service was slow but the pub was incredibly busy. Staff friendly but rather chaotic. Food fabulous and you just need to go with the flow, especially on a Sunday! Speisekarte ansehen

Family Sunday lunch for 6 people. Table service got drinks wrong to start with, then food was served within 5 mins of placing order Wrong food given to two people but so much gravy you could not see the meat. Desserts we wanted had run out all in all very poor experience

We came as 2 couples and all our meals were disappointing and we couldn’t eat the cauliflower cheese which looked as though the cheese sauce had been made by melting a burger cheese slice on top of rubbery cauliflower. The gravy on the sausages was congealed and the sausages were barely cooked and then microwaved. We definitely wouldn’t go back.

Beautiful pub and gardens. Bar staff are polite and welcoming. Despite the drinks being a little pricey I will certainly be back. However the food was a massive letdown. Letdown is an understatement, very overpriced for a below average flavourless burger and chips. Others state (chicken) was dry and chewy and veg over cooked. Food service was very poor. Such a shame. Came for a family roast, we had heard so many good things about it. It did not disappoint!! We had the trio roast and I have to say it was exquisite!! Can’t fault a single thing with the meal.. they had ran out of giant pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese but we dined later in the day so to be expected I suppose. Family of 5 came to £70 with a couple of drinks and kids puddings … an absolute bargain for the quality!! Will be back very shortly.. hopefully with the fires on as we love the ambience it creates.

We had to park in the overflow car park, but it was good that there was one. The table was nice. The drinks were expensive. We had to order the food at the bar. The food came VERY quickly. I thought that the whitebait fish were few in number, large in size and headless. They were nice at they were, though with too little dip. The nachos shared starter, made a good main with the chicken on it. I didn't have a pudding because they didn't have the one I wanted. It may well be different by the time that you go as they were all about the new menu starting on Tuesday.

Iwas very disappointed with my Sweet Potatoe and Beetroot Tortellini My plate had just 5 tortellinis sitting on a very shallow tomato and pepper sauce with a little crumble feta style sheese The tortellinis were not cooked properly. Only the part of the tortellinis in contact with the sauce was cooked, the rest was just a dry hard pasta. I had to ask for the tortellinis to be cooked again. Unfortunately, only the part en contact with the sauce benefited from being reheated The taste of the filling inside the tortellinis was okay. I feel to pay £13.50 for 5 uncooked tortellinis is not fair. I did mention my concern to two of the people working there. Speisekarte ansehen
