Well priced and great food. We took friends there and it was a very good choice. I would recommend it to anybody. The reason I chose it was that they take dogs!

Rude embarrassing staff food gone seriously downhill and expensive. A customer asked put it on a lead I replied no. Staff asked me so I did leave and return dog to home. Correct words and politeness dog or human isn't difficult. Confronted politely and was told to leave on second vist.

Fabulous meal bringing our extended family together. The choice on menu was extensive, the food was so delicious the service was 5plus. The waitresses were efficient, informative, helpful so friendly. We will definitely be back strongly recommend a visit. Thank you all involved in our perfect visit

I organised a party of 14 for Christmas dinner. The pre selected food was very good with some nice touches added into the menu (bonne Bouche etc. . The tables were nicely decorated and the service was excellent on a busy night for the staff. All in all great evening and made even better by the great range of real ales available.

Pleasant ambience with a warm welcome. The small plates starters were mixed. 4 small prawns with garlic were hugely overpriced. Amazingly they had run out of mushrooms. My hake was lovely but was served in a very bland watery sauce containing undercooked potatoes. The main course mussels looked rather good and apparently tasted so. Not cheap so no tip left.

A lovely village pub with a great atmosphere. Absolutely delicious food which was freshly cooked, hot and perfectly presented. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have removed one star as the pub had so many dogs and not all on leads… I am not a dog fan .. well at least not in a place where you are eating. But, there is a restaurant where I presume dogs are not allowed.

Brought our son who is over from Oz for a roast and was completely underwhelmed by the roast. Undercooked roast potato two small plates of veg for 4 of us with just enough cauliflower cheese for one and a complete foul up of my wifes vegetarian dish. Thin gravy too!!!!! Puddings were ridiculously small. So many friends who live in the village recommended us but boy oh boy was this disappointing.

We were regular customers over a period of 7 years but food quality started to become quite hit and miss. However the service has always been excellent. We decided to give it another try on Tuesday Pie mash) night but wished we hadn’t bothered! We decided to try a couple of small starters, my husband ordered calamari and I opted for mini Camembert/ chutney. These starters were not reflective of the price £7.25 each) as when they arrived there was only 3 calamari rings and the Cheese was hard to find under the herb crust which was not mentioned on the menu.
