Well I'm now into my second week and feel asim one of the family here. Such a lovely atmosphere and all the Staff are tremendous The full Breakfast is absolutely perfect. And the evening meal is really well cooked and huge portions.

Went for dinner on the evening food was excellent and service 11/10, recently took over by new management, place looks a lot cleaner than it used to be we will be coming here more often now especially after being told there is a new menu coming soon Speisekarte ansehen

Stayed in the hotel on business and it was fantastic booked a table for dinner, had the steak and I must say it one one of the best I’ve had in a very long time, all the staff and management I encountered were extremely helpful, friendly and informative would definitely stay again

Heard changes were being made here so decided to try it for a family meal as we had relatives visiting. What a mistake that was! Our family left feeling ripped off and disappointed. Our advice is don’t bother! The staff don’t seem to have a clue and the place is dead. No atmosphere and service was terrible, we felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff. The food was also awful, from our table of 6 all said their food was poor. The restaurant also seemed generally unclean and the toilets need a refit as everything is broken.

Decided to give it one more chance as this used to be our favourite restaurant still very disappointing we used to go once a week and the place was bursting and we used to have to wait for tables when we turned up for Sunday lunch they was five people in the building a young lad waiting on who was so rude we asked to speak to the manager but she was busy sat outside having a glass of wine as apparently she being working all day it was the worst Sunday lunch I've ever had and will never return what has gone on with this place such a lovely building such a shame Speisekarte ansehen

AVOID!!! Visited with a friend, I chose the steak skewer, with sweet potato fries and house slaw. For almost £24.00, the skewer was meat only with half a mushroom at the bottom... I'd asked for it to be cooked medium... I sent it back, has it arrived ******. 2nd attempt, still ******...asked to change dish for something else. Chose a noodle dish with salmon fillet... Waited a good while for the dish to be delivered to the table. Server eventually came and assured it would be 2 minutes...which became another 10. My friend had at this point finished her meal. I stayed with my mum for 3 nights and was absolutely blown away! What a stunning hotel! The rooms were wonderfully bright, modern and clean. The decor is gorgeous and the downstairs restaurant is super elegant. They have a cosy fire as soon as you walk in and staff were super lovely. Apparently they've just been taken over by new owners so when we booked a few months ago it was booked with breakfast included where as now I think it's an additional charge on top of the room rate but l'd absolutely recommend booking in for breakfast if so. Terrible Service We booked a table for Sunday lunch at 4 pm, we were informed that there was no beef, decided to stay even though beef was what we wanted and they serve lunch until 6 so they should not be running out of it, food arrived luke warm with a very small plate of veg which was for both of us, this consisted of 2 boiled potatoes, 3 small peices of Broccoli and a dessert spoon size portion of swede mash, so we asked for more and they bought out about 8 more pots but no veg, they took my food to be warmed up and when it was bought back to me it was missing my Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes, by this time my partner had almost finished his meal, totally spoilt the meal, which made...
