"The best meal I have had in a very long time. Located in a small picturesque village not far from Uzes. From the outside, it looks like a run-down bar-cafe, but the food is incredible! I had the daily special of seiche (cuttlefish) and steamed...potatoes w aioli sauce. The seiche was as tender as salmon steak. The sauce gave a wonderful flavor. Paradise. Served cold (i.e. more or less room temperature) with a nice side salad (and scrumptious tasty bread). Apx euros and worth every centime. The other dishes were euros. My wife and daughter-in-law and her daughter all ordered shrimp in saffron sauce and loved it, Served with great pommes frites (they let me taste). My son ordered veal milanaise( served with an excellent tomato-based sauce and accompanied with al dente pasta. The veal itself was very tasty, which is not always the case these days. After this meal, no room for dessert, but my wife and I could not resist the creme caramel which is unbelievably onctuous and smooth. The others ordered a chocolate fondu cake of some sort, but the creme was so good that I didn't want to dilute the flavor by tasting the cake which they said was intensely chocolaty. In sum, very highly recommended. Food as good as anything I have had in the very elegant St Germain, my previous home. BTW, it was a lovely, cool August evening so we ate outside on a little tree-shaded square surrounded by lovely old stone architecture. If you like that sort of thing, leave time for a stroll around the village. PS -One of the rare occasions to order Jupiler on tap [beer] at a restaurant in this area. Served nice and cold."

"Nous y étions pour le repas aux truffes de dim 21. Je l’ai choisi pour sa note Google de 4,7/5. Nous avons tous pris l’option de 20 euros en supplt. de truffe par plat. Nous n’avons pas été convaincu. J’ai pris le filet de poisson, il y avait trop de sauce la saveur et le goût de la truffe ne nous explosait pas en bouche. Ce n’était pas comme chez Bruno à Lorgues. J’ai proposé je pense au patron de ne plus mettre de sauce juste le poisson grillé avec un filet d’huile d’olive et de râper la truffe dessus. Faire simple la truffe seule doit embellir le plat. C’était précisé 20 euros 3 gr de truffe. J’aurais du calculer car j’en ai acheté pour 1,2 euros le gramme. Pour 20 euros je pense qu’il aurait pu nous en mettre plus 3 grammes ne sont pas suffisant. Au final on a donc payer 72 euros par personne. Cordialement"

"It is difficult to eat badly in uzès. We took four more meals this week. The others were good, but lunch at the boca will remain in the memories. It is not good food, it is a small street coffee, with some tables also inside, but the food was very good and clearly prepared by an imaginative and capable chef. It's a small menu. I had an excellent smoky salmon on a bed of a tidy salad of rosy leeks and yellow zucchini sprinkled with pink grapefruit. It was absolutely delicious. the lambballs on beet potato purée have very well pleased my friends. the well cooked exotic fruit crumble to follow was also excellent. The service was very friendly. lunch for four with a bottle of wine at 100 € was well spent money. a leader who's going to make progress. Well done."

"The service and the dishes were very good. On the other hand, we waited more than an hour between the entrance and the plat. That's unacceptable. And in addition mistake on ours of more than 250 euros on a note in the end of more than ,500 euros. And not even a coffee offered! The young waiter of fifteen years was very friendly and listening. He doesn't get discouraged. He's great."

"I come regularly to this restaurant when I'm passing through the area. We even celebrated our marriage... The frame is very cute and especially pleasant to the beautiful days when we can enjoy the terrace or alley. The owners are very friendly and we feel at home in this very beautiful place typical of the region. Let's come by the way! The kitchen is really very good and traditional. Only 2 menus with fresh products!! Some will find that there is not enough choice but it is for me a quality gage and it feels in the plate. The portions are really very generous and I never came out of here hungry. The plates are always very well presented and invite to choose from these beautiful traditional dishes. The service is perfect and the server is always listening to us with the greatest friendliness. It is not a joke of a good humour and will do everything to find solutions if you are a vegetarian."
