Very good atmosphere, Land lord and land lady great hosts. Lovely location and setting, idealic on hot days to sit outside next to a cool fresh stream. Very convenient If you are staying at the YHA next door. Dog friendly, 24 hour licence, good food and drink.

beautiful pub with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. we booked a family dinner on Sunday for 20! the age ranged from 2 years to great parents. the owners have redesigned the tables so that we could all be together, the eating was delicious and hot and drinks in the garden before was nice. now peeps, I had the pleasure to play here in December in the pub, and it was a pleasure, and by that I had an evil and decisive Veggie Xmas dinner. I will now return for the annual Duck race, on Easter Sunday, and I am honored to be invited to this pretistigious event, friendly, small pub with a massive beer garden, where in summer it will be a wonderful space for children to play.

I was very disappointed with my experience. We walked in, wet and cold, with six hungry children just after 2 PM, only to be told that the kitchen had already closed for the day. The pub was nearly empty, with just one other patron present, and the unwelcoming landlady suggested that children weren't allowed at the bar. It was a very unfriendly atmosphere, and overall, I felt let down. Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.

We had a delightful Roast Beef Sunday lunch at the White Horse Inn. It was absolutely scrumptious, and we both finished every last bite. The pub has a charming atmosphere, and even though we are just in the area for a short getaway, we never felt unwelcome. This was our second time dining here; we returned because the fish and chips on Friday night were outstanding.
