"I almost don't want to tell you about this restaurant because it took a fortnight to get a booking there as it was... for a weekday! I think this might be the best Italian restaurant in England I adore Italian food so I've been to hundreds of different ones all over the country. If I could give it ten stars, I would. Everything about this little place near the river Thames is delightful. Even the napkins. The staff are smiling, attentive, knowledgeable, and generous. The portions are belly busting (I took my leftovers home). The food omg! It was so delicious I'd have licked my plate if it wasn't impolite. My husband has visited several times with work colleagues and always raved about it, but I didn't believe him. This place... I'm in love"

luca is absolutely wonderful! that was a truly cheerful evening. the espresso martini was up there with the best I ever had. the truffle mushroom ravioli was extremely good and I would be happy with half the level of generousness. Many thanks to the fact that they are so welcoming and accredited, our late with so big talk. we will be coming back soon

"we went to lunch here and there was a great choice of eating different things. we could have an inca and a lunch bowl in the near east with focaccia. it was amazing! I love eating here and really friendly staff and all the amazing things they do during this time. the cakes were amazing as we had an Anzac cookie and some panforte that were both very delicious. I can't expect to go back when the caffe is back!"

"My wife and I ate here on a Sunday night, and were really impressed with what we found. It is a wine bar, which serves a reasonably extensive snack menu. Think of it like a French tapas kind of idea, with a number of small plates on offer to eat whilst sampling the many wines, rather than a traditional restaurant serving starters and mains. We ate the wild garlic pesto tartiflette, which was delicious, and also had a charcuterie board, with generous portions of iberico ham, parma ham and cooked ham, together with bread and chutney, which was equally delicious. The other plate we ordered was a prawn and avocado salad in a balsamic vinegar dressing. This too was really tasty and was a generous size. It being a wine bar, there are numerous wines on offer, but what we chose to do was the wine flight, where you each get three small glasses, each of a different wine. I chose the Bordeaux flight and my wife chose the Rioja flight. For about £15 each, we thought it was good value and enabled us to try six different wines for a reasonable price, all of which complemented the food perfectly. There are also both white and sparkling flights available, as well as a good wine list, most of which were very reasonably priced. The restaurant/bar itself is relatively small, and reminded me of a cosy ski lodge, with wood panels on the wall and nice bench seats. The atmosphere was very nice, and the service was excellent. All in all, it was a lovely evening and we really enjoyed our visit and would have no hesitation returning if we are ever in the area again."

"We visited this pub specifically for its location and connections to the television show Midsomer Murders. It is a charming pub in a fantastic location. The young staff who served us were delightful. Two members of our group enjoyed a delicious roast chicken lunch. However, my wife ordered what was listed on the menu as a Vegetarian Tartlet. What was brought to our table was a large Yorkshire pudding, a parsnip, and a couple of roast potatoes. Believing there may have been a mistake and the tartlet was hidden beneath the Yorkshire pudding, we lifted it to find six small, dried-up button mushrooms. We called over the manager to ask about the missing tartlet, and after consulting with the kitchen, he rather bluntly informed us that was the vegetarian option. We asked for it to be removed from the bill. My roast lamb was served lukewarm and the side vegetables were sparse and also lukewarm. The cauliflower cheese was hot but not enough for four people. While we felt the food was reasonably priced, the Vegetarian Tartlet was a disappointment. It seemed more like something DCI Barnaby should investigate under the trades descriptions act, as it was definitely not what was advertised."

"Staff very friendly and made us feel welcome. Room clean and had everything we needed. Shared bathroom and toilet but didn't have a problem with that. Clean towels for us to use. Tea and coffee facilities are available. Parking just around the corner but free until 9am. Food is good and was a good price. We will definitely be staying again. Thanks dave and staff. Look forward to staying again in the future.. Oh and there is a lock on the bathroom door!!!!"

"I don't normally do reviews but I wanted to share how amazing this place is! We found this little gem whilst being housed in a hotel mid moving home. I phoned up prior to booking to see if they allowed dogs and that we had a very anxious dog with us to see if they could help. They accommodated us amazingly! The hospitality was outstanding and the food was so delicious! We live about half hour away and will definitely make the journey to be here again. Thanks again for looking after us so well.
