"the tokio ball is a small Japanese tavern on the echegaray street, in the heart of the madrid lyrics neighborhood. specializes in takoyaki, a traditional dish of osaka consisting of fried mass balls something like croquettes filled with pulp and cebollet, and covered with several sauces, Japanese mayonnaise and katsuobushi (very copos). the bar itself is dwarf and has capacity for up to 10 people, so I recommend going during the week or being prepared to wait a few minutes for a table. the menu is simple: takoyaki in portions of 8, 12 or 20 balls and algae salad caps, gyoza, edamame and yakitori. And that's it! all watered with jars of asahi beer. We ordered a ration of 8 takoyaki with takoyaki sauce and a little gyoza. the gyoza was excellent and, for only 3 euros, an incredible offer. the Takoyaki were cooked in the moment before us and melted in our mouths. Very good. if you are looking for an elegant and refined Japanese, tokio ball is not the place, but if you want to try authentic Japanese flavors at an unbeatable price, tokio ball is your place. In fact, I'd say it's the closest thing to an authentic Asian food we have in madrid. Excellent option to try something new."
