Radda in Chianti breathes mediaeval times. Bar Dante is a lovely bar with very friendly hosts. Please do try the Bruschetta with the 2022 olive oil. Bellissima!

A beautiful village and the prime location but it is the family that own and operate this bar which make the experience special and Tuscan. If you are touring go there and if you like beautiful Tuscan wine buy some from the owners shop around the corner. He is very helpful and knowledgeable.

We ate here on two occasions. Lovely wine list and the Hugo spritz was popular. Food was excellent. The Tuscan sausages and fagioli was delicious along with the pasta in a cream sauce and meat ragout. The melanzane parmigiana was also excellent. The chocolate cake was also very good along with the tiramisù. Would definitely recommend and friendly staff and owners too.

This is an amazing spot with absolutely delicious food and a wonderful host (Carolyn). We ate here at least once per day in our 4 days in Radda breakfast is wonder and so is lunch. The desserts are amazing. Bar Dante values its customers, makes them feel appreciated and loved and is one of the few establishments in Radda where English is spoken. Helpful because we do not speak Italian.

We have stopped by Bar Dante a couple of times during our stay in Radda. The first thing that strikes you is that the owner Carolyn is from England. She is just lovely. She is happy to share her story (short version) of how she ended up in Radda but turns out she has written a book. Brought the book and am halfway through. It is a very light and easy read. What can we say about the food here? Amazing. Everything we have tasted on the menu is incredible. We have had beef tartare (best we have ever tasted) bruschetta, lasagna, chicken cacciatore and pasta! A very memorable place to visit and enjoy your meal. Speisekarte ansehen
