"Me and the missus came to the Barley Mow for a night away last week and were absolutely blown away. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were greeted and shown to our room by Toby and then catered to by manager Will later that evening. The somewhat eccentric but extremely friendly bar man completely made the stay for us. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed and fantastic view from the window. Our evening meal was exceptional, good quality food and good portion sizes (especially for the price! . Some of the chefs even took the time to speak to us about their menu, after their shift, which added to our experience. The Barley Mow is a great little country pub with great rooms, great scenery, great food and incredible service. We will be back!"

The breakfast was absolutely terrible, especially after being taken through the back of the kitchen. This restaurant should be closed down immediately.

I have been going to the barely mow for years and never once had a bad experience the food has always been amazing and despite bad reviews and lies the barely mow has a 4 star hygiene rating from EHO and is a very clean place 10/10 from me :

The food at this restaurant is extremely expensive and the kitchen is incredibly dirty. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. The cookers, hobs, and microwaves are all filthy and should not be used to prepare food. This establishment should not be allowed to serve food under any circumstances.

Excellent service the manager and the young chap behind the bar were beyond expectations. Catering to our every need! Very clean and appropriate for all ages and groups. We ordered salt and pepper chips and Korean BBQ chicken and a very nice onion soup after our walk to Pendle hill, will definitely visit again 11/10

During our short break in a nearby village, we decided to check out the Barley Mow. The staff was welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. My family and I were impressed with the prompt service and delicious starters and mains we ordered.
