Block Steakhouse - Speisekarte

During our stay at the Premier Inn next door, we dined at Bar + Block. It was a lovely restaurant with delicious food and helpful staff.

I would give this restaurant a 5-star review if it wasn't for the fact that our order got lost. The food was tasty and they made up for the mistake by giving us free desserts for everyone at our table of 5. The prices are mid-range, with mains averaging around £14. The parking is great and the atmosphere is nice.

A group of 22 of us went to the bar and block last night for our annual Christmas party. Everything about the evening was very enjoyable. The food was lovely and came out in good time and together. The service was great nothing was too much trouble, a big thank you to the manager Daniel who organised the evening for us. Such a fabulous evening, Will definitely return. Speisekarte ansehen

Absolutely love this place! Dan and his team are a fantastic bunch of people, always friendly and welcoming, such a nice bunch! Drink selection is good with seasonal cocktails available, unfortunately don't have a real ale on tap but the Guinness is good! Food is great, if I'm honest it's more of a treat as it's on the higher end of the budget but it's very good quality and I've never had a bad experience. If your a rum lover, try the Zombie cocktail...

I really enjoyed my experience at Bar Block, despite not expecting to. I stopped in for a quick meal before going to the movies. The food was what I would expect from a steak house, but they had some unique options that stood out (the cauliflower wings were particularly delicious). The service was quick and friendly, although it was early so I can't say how it would be when busy. The atmosphere was great for a Monday evening. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Our first time going in July 2021 for 30th wedding anniversary and we wasn’t disappointed, we went as a family of four to celebrate .the food was amazing, staff were great and very helpful and accommodating we asked to change tables for more comfortable seats ,ones for my disabled daughter , hence we did go about 5 o’clock not busy at all , we were apprehensive on going to start with due to really bad reviews when they first originally opened a few yrs now , glad we took the plunge , only criticism is that it’s a luxury as the prices are a bit high Speisekarte ansehen

Had a lovely birthday meal for my mum here, the kind server Emma also provided a complimentary chocolate cake with a candle AND a box of chocolates for my mums birthday which was extremely sweet. Only negative point would be the steak, it wasn't very flavourful and juicy as expected and was pretty rare (hence the 4 stars Other than that we all had a great meal and the service was great, not too slow. We had breakfast here when we stayed at the adjoining Premier Inn. I normally really enjoy Bar Block breakfasts, but was a bit underwhelmed by this branch. The breakfast was unlimited, but to order rather than a buffet. I thought this would be better, as food would presumably be cooked to order. However, I found the quality wasn't up to the standard I've seen at other Bar Blocks. The sausages, which are normally very meaty, butcher quality, were chipolata type and tasted quite cheap. They were also chewy, and didn't have the usual burst when you stick your fork in. The hash browns were also chewy, rather than crispy. The scrambled eggs looked good, but we're severely lacking in flavour. Over...

I gave 4 but id say 3.5. We were met by a friendly waitress who showed us to our seats. Once sat down it took about 10 minutes for someone to ask if we'd like drinks and I we were ready to order. Nothing major at this point really. Maybe a little longer wait to be asked than normal but it was busy so I was cool with it. We ordered a starter and drinks. It took 15 20 minutes for the starter which again fairly acceptable, however it was at this point we only received our drinks. The starter tasted good though so kudos to the guy/ gal in the kitchen for that. We ordered our main. This took about 25 minutes... again it was busy and was to be expected.
