Amazed at what good value this was less than for cream tea for two! Lovely fresh scones, what tasted like homemade jam and cream. Lush!

The restaurant at the hotel is upscale and fabulous. There are a variety of excellent menu options available. The staff is exceptional and well-informed. Highly recommended.

Food mediocre, soup not hot enough soon went cold. Ribeye steaks very tough and full of sinew, overall not worth the money, chips had been overcooked and kept warm so they were limp. Speisekarte ansehen

Lovely, friendly staff. Quite a blingy place and there’s a giraffe in the dining room! Great starters of squid and Whitby crab and excellent main of Yorkshire Dales lamb. Halibut main could have done without the chicken wing, as the girolles and red wine sauce...was substantial enough. The Eaton Mess looked great but somehow failed to deliver the hit that it should.

Visited yesterday for a family celebration. They put us in a private room which was ideal. Sunday Lunch menu which offered plenty of choice. The food was very good with plenty of vegetables. Staff attentive and service could not be faulted. Nice area outside where...we had coffee following the meal. The meal was very good value. The only criticism is that the drinks are expensive.

My partner surprised me to lunch for our anniversary. The surroundings are stunning and very quirky, which I loved. The service was extremely professional and attentive and I appreciated things like ice cold water on the table. The food we had was amazing! Soft shell...crab and salmon tagliatelle especially tasty. I'd heard great things about Brockley Hall and really wanted to like it more than I did. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful property, the staff were pleasant, the service was fine, the food was okay, but definitely it wasn't as special or as...great quality as I'd been led to believe. We were both a bit disappointed to be honest. It's better than stars (average) but not as good as (very good). If we'd loved it we'd have become regular diners but as it was, we won't return. I've heard the breakfasts are fabulous and I haven't tried one, so maybe the reputation comes from outstanding Bed Breakfast rather than fine dining.

My first visit to Brockley Hall for dinner one Saturday evening, after hearing many good things about the place. The hotel and atmosphere lived up to its reputation, quirky eclectic with some amazing décor throughout the different rooms including works by local artists. There is...a fabulous choice of food from the a la Carte and Bistro menus so plenty of choice without it becoming too expensive. The wine menu was very pleasing. The place was very busy, great atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Despite being busy in the bar there are places to find a quiet spot if wanted to have a pre dinner drink. Will definitely visit again

My husband booked an evening meal as he wanted somewhere special as his family was visiting us. His uncle ordered Whitby crab to start. This was a teaspoonful of crab! for My husband ordered fillet steak which was crispy on the outside and tough...in the middle, served with a few tomatoes and mushrooms Mine meal, was the worst. I ordered the lamb with jersey royal potatoes and carrots and I was offered a complimentary choice of veg to accompany the carrots. The lamb was presented in a dish and I waited for the potatoes and carrots to arrive but on further inspection I uncovered, hiding under the lamb, a potato that had been sliced into and as for “carrots” I found one tiny whole carrot the s...
