"Had thos place recommended by a work colleague. Booked in for tonight at half 6. The menu has a wide range of food to suit all tastes. Very warm welcome and excellent customer service. Now the food well what can I say about it apart from WOW everything cooked to perfection and the presentation was excellent. Will definitely be back to sample more of the menu very soon"

"my elders have just returned from an overnight stay here and they cannot recommend them enough. during the review in the personal were so friendly and accommodating, in the bedroom it was about their expectation. the color, the style, cleanliness and comfort were fantastic, the free, prosseco, the beer, the obst etc. was such a wonderful note. her evening meal comes from the festive menu, she said, it is the best Christmas meal she had in 70 years (that is her age) I would like to say personally: many thanks that they feel completely looked around, great start to Christmas 2017. larraine pat foley"

"Bit deflated after looking forward to the visit for so long. After booking well in advance for lunchtime and reading reviews we were excited to go. Cheese cheese cheese what’s not to love. Then we saw Raclette on the menu and imagined the melted raclette slab and slicing melting cheese and crusty bread with a chilli jam pot. To start we thought olives x3 to share whilst we chatted waiting for the Raclette and crusty warm bread. After all were in Ramsbottom with lots of local shops to supply. First we were asked if we wanted our starter before our mains or with our mains ! But just thought maybe that’s a thing with cheese, so declined and said we’d have it first please. Then Raclette came and it was baked Camembert. Gutted. But I like baked Camembert and we were hungry. Then the kicker the crusty hot bread was those par baked rolls you buy from the long life shelf. And I know they were as i used them during lockdown as an emergency. The jam was lovely. We were just a bit deflated. I later checked the website and the photos of the baked Camembert does show the par baked rolls. But as we walked back to the car we passed the most amazing bread shop and I just thought “why par baked when this is on your door step”. And just say baked Camembert. The place itself is cute and comfortable/ inviting."

"I had a lovely meal at the restaurant that reminded me of a mother's cooking. I enjoyed a cheese swirl cake served with chips and a variety of vegetables, which cost £15. I also ordered the cheesecake with ice cream, and it was delicious as well; I believe that was £9.50. They offered a small food change option, and the brat dinners were priced at £14, which is only £1.50 more than Toby Carvery but much tastier. My little boy tried the fish and really enjoyed it too."

"The second visit to Levanter. Pretty bad experience the first time a couple of years back where we found ourselves to be the only people in there one evening and had the waiters stood around impatiently wanting us to hurry and finish so they could close. Levanter seems to have a lot of hype around it, hence we gave it another chance (maybe it was just a one-off... er, no). We genuinely can't understand why the place is bigged up so much. We love Spanish tapas, which is why we tried it in the first place so we kind of knew what kind of dishes we would be getting. However, the menu was limited, the food itself, average, at best and the glasses of wine, tiny. The tables are really cramped together so it's far too crowded for a place of its size. I felt for the people who had booked the table right next to the toilet door. Furthermore, bizarrely, the food is carried from the kitchen, down the street and in through the front door. Maybe that's fine if you are sat in a tapas bar on La Rambla in July but not so much when it's a freezing January night with intermittent rain or hailstone. Price-wise, it wasn't too pricey but that would have only added insult to injury had the prices been sky-high. The young lady who serves us was pleasant but that was probably the best I can say for the place. We won't be giving Levanter a third chance."
