"Rating: I recently had the opportunity to visit The Crooked Billet, and I must say that my overall impressions were positive. Here's a breakdown of my experience at this pub: Atmosphere and Seating: The pub boasts a pleasant ambiance, especially with its good outdoor seating options. The area surrounding the pub is peaceful, creating a relaxed environment for enjoying a drink or a meal. It's an ideal spot if you're looking for a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Staff: The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive atmosphere. They provided attentive service and were knowledgeable about the drink options available. Their warm demeanor contributed to a pleasant experience overall. Drink Prices: I found the drink prices at The Crooked Billet to be reasonable and in line with my expectations for a pub in the area. It's always reassuring when the prices match the quality and atmosphere of the establishment. Food: Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to try the food during my visit, but based on my positive experience with the other aspects of the pub, I'm inclined to return and give it a try in the future. I have high hopes that the food will be of the same quality and meet my expectations. In conclusion, The Crooked Billet is a nice pub located in a peaceful area, offering good outdoor seating and a friendly bar staff. The drink prices are fair, making it a worthwhile visit if you happen to be in the area. While I didn't sample the food on this occasion, I plan to return in the future to give it a try based on the overall positive experience I had. I can confidently say that The Crooked Billet is a good pub that is worth considering for a pleasant outing."

Amazing food. I had the red Thai curry and the dark chocolate brownie. Beautiful! My husband had the billet burger and pavlova and he said it was sooo good too! We'll be back when we are that way again

Very disappointing. Ordered fillet sirloin steaks both to be cooked medium rare as recommended. Received two very over done steaks. Let the waitress know but no apology even having only one slice from the fillet. Great spot, friendly staff but disappointed with a fairly expensive meal.

Visited with work colleagues for a team lunch. Unfortunately they'd not received their food delivery so there was no Cauliflower Steaks or Pork Belly on the menu. The team were satisfied with the alternative menu options. Overall a pleasant experience in a beautiful pub, tasty food, arrived quick and hot. Lovely staff and a nice beer garden too.

Lovely pub! I went on a first date here last night and I had a very nice time! The food was great, i'm vegan and my date eats meat but ordered a vegetarian meal (I had the cauliflower steak and he had the bean burger) we both thought each meal was lovely and well presented. Great atmosphere, very cute staff were friendly and helpful too! Just wish they had vegan desserts! I would have loved to see vegan sticky toffee pudding on the menu Speisekarte ansehen

Excellent food (we went for Sunday lunch) apart from the baked rice pudding which was a bit dry, and the chocolate on top of it was a strange addition. The service was a little slow, and when we arrived there were not that many tables taken, so we were surprised our first course took so long to arrive. Having been in the catering trade, I know the value of staff who keep half an eye on all their tables, even when they are serving a different table, and they weren't good at this, which contributed to the slower speed of service.

Once again, the pub- restaurant has a new owner, and I love what they have done to the place. Lovely cozy ambiance. Good food, polite... and fast service. A little too fast, actually. Our entire 3 course planned dinner took probably about an hour. We felt rushed. After we had finished with our mains and requested the dessert menu, it seems the chef had told the young new waitress to inform us that the kitchen had closed for the night. This was 8:25pm on a Friday night. So we didn't get out dessert. There was nothing left but to pay and leave. The whole eating out and relaxing experience wasn't there. Not sure it's a place you want to be booking for dinner; maybe day time meals? The bar's eff...

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
