I do eat here and the food is ok and reasonable but a couplebof years back, Valentines night was a disaster when the cook either Didn't turn up or walked out. Disaster. Left to a young English waitress to tell us the night was over in tears, even though the restaurant was Spanish owned. I have been back several times, no worries."

I've been working as a waiter years ago, I'm going to be a few years late looking at the work and effort of this family, I hope they're okay, I'm the age of the older daughter and as a waiter that I'm taking off my hat and I'm glad it's okay and if God wants to be the only ones to visit.

Out first visit to El Rey and we weren’t disappointed. We arrived later than we were expected due to our misunderstanding, however, was not a problem. We had a fabulous meal, husband and son both had the ribs and we can quite easily say, best ribs they’ve had here in Murcia by a royal mile! The service was attentive, menu had good choices and very fairly priced we will absolutely be back and would highly recommend!
