"We were in the area on an errand and hit the GPS rather haphazardly looking for a restaurant but what a chance to come across La Maison des Bois. Beautiful decor with wonderful old Faience plates dating from the start of the Lavergne family's ownership in 1926 and a perfect terrace overlooking the garden.Perfect service from Jenny Lavergne and her crew and spectacular food from her husband Laurent. A wonderful lobster salad, and sautéed langoustines to start. Hot foie Gras and a navarin of lobster to follow and then the house speciality dessert. Great wine list with reasonable prices.Definitely worth the detour."

"I’m rather mixed on this restaurant where I had lunch this week. I thought it was a real Turkish restaurant but I don’t really find Turkish cuisine: guacamole in the mezze instead of having cucumber/yourt for example. I would also have liked that there is good Turkish bread house (pide) to accompany the mezze and the dish but not the baguette. The burgers are good but no more, I would also have enjoyed a good homemade burger bread instead of industrial bread, without any interest. The burger is unfortunately not suitable for children (in the child menu) because too big, melted cheddar that flows and makes it difficult to eat by children. The steak is good that says, without being exceptional. Chicken and beef/Lamb pins were good, well cooked. On the other hand, disappointed with the accompaniment: basic frozen fries, nature bulgour that resembles more of the ebly than Turkish Tomato bulgour. We haven’t tasted their exceptional meat, so I can’t pronounce myself on the subject but the comparison on another opinion for this restaurant with Beef cut or Nusret (resto de Salt Bae) is largely exaggerated! In short, a correct meal but I can't say that I've enjoyed myself, I love Turkish gastronomy. The welcome is warm, very large space and beautiful deco. To test by yourself to make an idea"

"Nous le fréquentons occasionnellement depuis 3 ans et notre conclusion est que pour nous c'est le meilleur restaurant de la région avec un rapport prix / qualité intéressant.La cuisine est réellement inventive ,les produits sont frais et les cuisons parfaites aussi bien pour les poissons que pour les viandes , les mélanges de saveurs toujours réussis , les desserts sont toujours surprenants et délicieux.Notre fréquence espacée nous fait retrouver à chaque passage une carte toujours renouvelée et toujours excellente.Bravo au chef pour sa cuisine, mais aussi à l'accueil de la patronne qui est des plus sympathique."

"I completely overlooked my review so apologies for the delay! We were invited by our French friend and had high hopes. The restaurant staff were very welcoming and the restaurant was quite busy. We had a good view over the valley an we chose the 41€ menu and it was excellent. The foie gras was excellent too. It was well presented. The three of us tried different mains including steak and fish and we ate everything. The cafe gourmand was super too . For those that do not know it involves a coffee of choice and a varied selection of mini desserts or pastries. I had the cheese and there were no complaints. I was very grateful to be treated and hope to return the favour this year!"

"This is almost the only place near by. Quality is ok but don't take any main dishes with dressing (sauce) as they're industrial and salty....Stick with the basic like simple piece of beef or salad, vegies are ok.Desert are almost all industrials. Pizzeria facing them is same owner."
