Le Cafe Pierre - Speisekarte

Good food and drinks! Stylish decoration. Just a few metres from the Republiqué square. Service was a bit slowly as the place was busy.

I had breakfast in the restaurant and bar but, comparing with the petite dejourne you can find in Paris, this is expensive and not so good. I would not recommend.

The service is friendly and pretty quick. The food is pretty good - nothing special. Prices are much lower than the more touristy areas, and the dinner crowd is full of locals coming in after work. Very lively atmosphere. Speisekarte ansehen

First time in my life I leave back a chocolate crêpe and it happens in France, I think I don't need to add anything else, but I'm forced by trip advisor... so, wine was good, service terrible, cheese and ham crêpe, you can eat it, the French fries quite good.

We had once breakfast at Café Pierre. We were quickly served our copious petit-déjeuner parisien with latte, croissant, yogurt, orange juice. I was a bit impressed by the stylish decoration of the large restaurant : huge bottle shelves, red leather sofas, molding on ceilings, mirrors, chandeliers, paintings of Empire generals. We came also to enjoy an aperitif on the sunny terrace overlooking the place de la Republique. Very good location to watch the world go by while drinking our glasses of Chablis. Unexpectedly the local boulangerie was closed and I had volunteered to go out to harvest croissants/pain au chocolat for breakfast in the apartment. I kept on walking to the Place de la Republique before I found this place open (8am on a Saturday morning).I ordered 2 croissants and 2 pains au chocolat, which were a good size and tasty - just wish I knew where they had bought them from before I had to pay the mark-up. Not too sure what the menu is like as we didn't go back during our stay but it is in a great location.Interesting to see the locals tucking into their beer at that time of the morning! You've got to love Paris life..............

My friend and I visited Le Cafe Pierre recently on a Monday evening and the place was busy with most diners sitting outside. The restaurant is on the corner of Republique and has a great view of the plaza. The staff were super friendly (and cute) and spoke great English, given our poor French. The menu is in French with an English translation to follow. An extensive menu with lots of options. We had the turkey milanese (€15) and rib eye steak (€28) and lots of champagne and red wine. I was attracted by the sign outside that said they served authentic French onion soup. It turned out to be good, but nothing so fantastic that it stood out from other instances when I have had good onion soup. For the plat principal, I ordered a roast chicken. A basic neighbourhood cafe is not the place to order anything fancy; stick to the basics. It was quite a generous-sized half chicken served with a lot of fries and (happily) greens. The chicken was properly done though slightly on the dry side -- but some people might prefer it this way.All in all, a totally satisfactory meal even if nothing outstanding, for under 30 euros.The place was more than 75% full for dinner, and the waiters we...
