"Wandering grumpily around the town, having missed the apparently obligatory 3pm lunchtime curfew, we came upon this vine-covered place on a side-street. It was this, the Indian, or nothing, so with no expectations we took a seat. Now, to be frank, we struck lucky with...the service, because an extremely nice bloke was on hand immediately, and eager to help; it turned out he 's the son of the owner, and a chef in his own right, but helping out the family over Easter. (If I could remember his name I 'd give him a plug! The waitress who helped out was movie-star gorgeous and super friendly. Her dad owns a shop 100 metres away! The first promising sign was that it 's a short menu. The second being the fact that the 'usual ' camargue dishes hardly featured. Cutting to the chase, the food was brilliant and creative (mussels with seaweed was a revelation! . Reading the other reviews I have a certain sympathy, because the second visit we were served by the daughter of the house, who really should demand a refund from her charm-school. Mum is a Miriam Margolies lookalike, and I imagine, a toughie. But the star of the show is Papa. A simply lovely bloke, and totally committed to his calling. Shy and diffident by nature, but full of charm when warmed-up. He 's the image of his equally charming but well-traveled aforementioned son! This place is 'real ', and not a tourist trap. That and papa 's cooking make it special."

Stopped in on a Monday when other highly reviewed restaurants were closed. Really glad we did. Had an excellent meal. Warmly greeted by the owner and his son who speaks English. Tried 3 mains: the fresh dorade fish which I picked from a choice of...5 they showed us. Grilled with lemon, very fresh and served with nutty whole grain rice. Excellent! Others had magret and filet de bouef. Magret served with a tart fruit sauce. Best magret we’ve had. Filet was also excellent. All in all one of the best meals we’ve had.

OK, so maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. But one of the treats of eating there is that the Madame is so undeniably enchanting, along with the rustic inside and the nicely covered terrace. She coddled us, pushed at us, laughed with us, and...generally made us feel that we were her best guests ever. She took me to the wine fridge and asked me about our tastes, then talked me through the large selection of roses. Dinner matched the atmosphere. It's food with a camarguais twist. All told, it was one of the best meals we had on a two week trip through Provence

From the moment we went to this restaurant to check the menu, we were welcomed. When we asked about vegetarian possibilities, the server went to the kitchen and came back with some possibilities. kitchen staff even suggested making a pizza that wasn't on the menu. Finally, I went there with a thousand goat cheese smoke and a salad, and I was not disappointed - delicious! my partner chose local sausages and he was also very happy with his meal. in the midst of the many tourist trap restaurants that this city has to offer, we were delighted to fall on this very friendly restaurant located in a quiet street.

Highly recommended ! Everything is fresh, the flavor combinations are original and successful, the sauces wonderfully complex. Even the vinaigrette on the salad is special, the taste lightened with a touch of sesame oil. We had the saint pierre, served with an excellent citronny curry...sauce and the tournedos de toro equally delicious. We finished with a goat cheese drenched in the most delicious thyme infused olive oil. I refused the honey which normally goes with this dish due to blood sugar issues, and the Patronne was extremely accommodating for that and any other substitutions we asked for. It’s a 2 minute walk from the main plaza. Don’t miss this place !

By chance, and without having read any opinions, we stopped for lunch at the Camarguais subtau during a recent passage to Aigues-Mortes. At the beginning, we were drawn to the fact that it is a little away from the most frequented tourist areas, and it was a little quieter. What a treat. We both chose the menu of the noon, starting with a delicious cocktail, followed by shells cooked in various ways, then of Provencal Ioli. Tatin pie for dessert. We were very satisfied with the quality of food, the atmosphere and the attention of the owner. There is an obvious pride for the high quality of the kitchen, its presentation and culinary experience. we had a great lunch on Sunday - a perfect place...

restaurants in which I ate with dead eagles, it's among the most expensive but food usually justifies it. I went several times to the city and in 2014, I ate there half a dozen times served by the charming, clear student whose children still speak. At the beginning of our 2015 adventure, we went there at the beginning of the first week. the fish was exquisite and the food of the children (although an incorrect order) was delicious. You smell one, but? my toro net was rotten and when I spoke to the server, the owner (artificially described by another critic on the site) refused to accept this fact (although a non-eaten steak of 28 euros) and was very disinvolt in his response. his defense was...

We, 4 Australians, fell on the Camarguais subtau at lunchtime and enjoyed the fact that it is a bit distant from the lively area of the tourist restaurants of the square and that there are shaded vineyards under which sit outside. our French is basic but we were helped in our decision to dine here by a charming waiter who, we discovered, studied English and American literature at the University of Montpellier. She advised us on the menus and we decided to stay immediately. We ordered from the menu at 28,50 euros and tasted various specialities of camarguaises of beef and seafood cooked and presented so nicely. The duck salad was so tasty and the camel bull that had been marinated in red wine...

wandering from a grumpy air in the city, having missed the apparently obligatory curfew of 15 hours, we fell on this place covered with vines in a secondary street. That was the Indian or nothing, so without any expectations, we sat down. Now, to be frank, we had luck with the service, because an extremely kind guy was immediately available and eager to help; it turned out that he is the owner's son and a full-fledged leader, but helping the peacock family. (if I could remember her name, I'd give her a shot!) the waitress who helped was a beautiful and super nice movie star. his father owns a shop 100 meters away! The first promising sign was that it was a short menu. the second being the fa...
