How to review the half marathon? Well, it was quite easy at first, so much so that I had to keep telling myself to stop getting carried away and slow down.

Staff are so kind! Opportunity to donate to the armed forces for a cute poppy. Kid menu needs a bit of rewording. Not sure who would like to eat fresh CHILDREN PASTA! Food was EXCELLENT. We had the soup and roast beef which was beautiful and medium rare cooked to perfection. The roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and veg were superb. Another point which must be made was the EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE received as nothing was too much trouble and everyone went out of their way to help . What a fantastic place! We came here for a Sunday roast after looking at several different options in the Wye Valley and we are so glad we chose The Mill Race. The service was amazing; it was very welcoming, lighthearted and friendly. The food was excellent and we all left feeling very full. If you are in the area, I highly recommend. Sunday lunch. It’s always been good in the past but was a let down today. My wife and mother in law found that the Yorkshire puddings were very leathery and difficult to cut. The waiter did his best and got another equally leathery one from the kitchen. He then said: ‘it’s the way that they are cooked’ before offering a sharp knife to help cut them up. Booked for Sunday lunch when we arrived 10 minutes before booked time was told our table was in use! Became available after about 20-25 minutes. Ordered starter and main long wait for starter and an even longer wait for mains. When mains arrived mine was cold had to be sent back. Decided not to stay for a desert.
