Absolutely amazing food and the staff were so welcoming.. we will definitely be back one of the best restaurants we have been too.

Absolutely great food! No complaints whatsoever, and great portion sizes. Service was quick, including for drinks. Probably one of the best French Martinis I've ever had! Nice atmosphere too.

Love this place. Cannot fault it, the food is so delicious and fresh. Staff are lovely. Cocktails are also delicious. We have never had a bad experience here. One of the best restaurants in Glasgow.

Great selection of dim sum and mains. Managed to share a variety of these and they were delicious. The Kung Po wantons were a favourite, as well as the prawn Har Gow. Service was great. They were very attentive and helpful.

Fantastic meal. Great vegan options. Super flavours. We chose Opium to celebrate our anniversary and couldn’t have made a better choice. Best meal we’ve had in Glasgow. The staff were lovely and we felt it was very good value. We’ll definitely be back.

I was excited to try Opium for a fancy meal after seeing the menu and reviews but left disappointed and feeling ripped off. Unfortunately, I didn't understand the hype. It seems that the particular dish I chose was a letdown. All I could taste was salt and my broccoli side was overly watery. I've honestly had more flavorful Chinese takeout before. Additionally, I felt rushed by the servers who hovered around our table to clear our plates as soon as we finished.

We were recommended this restaurant as one of the top Chinese restaurants in Glasgow, and while it was a pleasant experience, it did not rank as one of our most enjoyable nights out. The food was generally good, although one of our dishes had to be sent back due to undercooked chicken. The staff handled the situation well, but it was still disappointing. The rest of the meal was decent but not outstanding. The atmosphere and service were very good, and the restaurant is conveniently located across from the great little bar, the Pot Still on Hope Street, where we enjoyed a drink after our meal.

Mmmmm…. I am on the fence here. Every restaurant looks to make money and maximise covers… I understand this. However- 10 minutes to sit following a booking.. a 15 minute wait for drink orders followed by a further 10 minutes on food orders whilst seeing the staff run around mad didn’t present the feeling of quality.. but rather quantity. The food was good but didn’t hit the spot if I’m honest.. the Thai red curry was fresh but very (very) sweet. The spring rolls and gyozas were cooked well but not full of flavour. I just feel that elevated spark was missing. I appreciate we attended on a busy night and there was nothing off with the food as such, I just wasn’t impressed enough to return…

After a disappointing start to our summer gastronomic tour, we made our way to Glasgow with a vague plan to find an Indian restaurant and rethink our week. Unaware of the cycling events in Glasgow, our train ride was reminiscent of the busy London rush hour underground system. Thankfully, we stumbled upon an old favorite, "Opium", even though it wasn't Indian. We decided to give it a try and were delighted by the fabulous staff, ambiance, food, and drink. We were relieved when a couple with three noisy children arrived and asked for a children's menu, only to be told there wasn't one.
