"Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. The food was amazing, beautifuly spiced without being overdone. I had the eggplant salad (divine!), perfectly marinated chicken kebabs, and a lovely green sald with sunflower seeds and a tart dressing. Yum. My friends had the lamb tagine and it was beautifuly prepared and seasoned, arrived at the table piping hot with homemade pita. I was lucky enough to have a taste, and next time that is what I will order (with the eggplant, of course). The desserts were equally fabulous. Lovely sorbets with Mediterranean flavorings, unusual but very tasty and refreshing. All the sorbets were served with a small pastry--one a crunchy version of a sugar cookie, one with dates, and another with sesame seeds. More yum. And I haven't even talked about the wine the owner recommended--went perfectly with the meal--or the nice decor--or how friendly and helpful the owner and cooks were helping us make our choices. And best of all, the price was fair, well below what I am used to paying for a comparable meal in the UK or the USA. Go try it, you'll be glad you did."

"Nouveau retour dans ce restaurant emblématique de Perpignan. Nous étions 9 car j’y ai entrainé des amis qui ne connaissaient pas et qui ont été enchanté tant par la cuisine que par la bonne ambiance des patrons. Le boss, du même gabarit que moi, ne m’a d’ailleurs pas reconnu, il est vrai que nous n’habitons pas Perpignan et que ce n’est donc pas ma cantine mais c’est ma quatrième visite, toujours aussi ravi. Nous avons pu échanger brièvement sur notre passion commune de la moto. Au niveau de la cuisine, tout était excellent et surtout copieux à souhait. Escargots cuits à la perfection ainsi que mon filet bleu, parfait. Pour ce qui est de mes amis, que du régal, côte de veau, burgers, salade César géante. Un de mes compagnons qui ne jure que par les souris d’agneau confites m’a déclaré que celle-ci était la meilleure qu’il ait mangé. Un régal total, il me tarde déjà d’y retourner. Pensez bien à réserver."

"The restaurant La Villa Dufflot is not recommended. Two glasses of champagne aperitifs that was corked and disgusting for 28 € No bread and no wine list during the tasting of the dinner. I have to ask for it at the end of my tasting. I select with the server my bottle of red wine Corbiere at 34 €. I then enjoy my main course but there is no accompaniment with my piece of veal. Nothing but meat !! A dish has 28 € for a piece of meat !! The flaming dessert, never flamed that gave a pancake that bathed in a juice soup too sweet and without interest. The bill was the final show because they counted me a bottle of red wine at € 62 while I ordered a € 34 bottle. I'm going to complain to the room manager about this unpleasant dinner about the incompetent table service, which forgets half the dishes, breads and sighs when you point it out and the bottle of wine that is charged me twice as much . The answer from the Table Manager offered me two glasses of digestive for a bill at 206 € for two people. But who are you laughing at? This four-star restaurant is only a star. For my part I will not come back."
