Sale e Pepe - Speisekarte

Great meal with excellent service (as always) I always enjoy my meals at Sale e Pepe. I had the liver which was delicious followed by tiramisu. The atmosphere is always friendly and the staff are lovely.

Fantastic pasta with white truffles was a real treat as was the delicious Minestrone soup that was served at the right temperature (hot) with friendly service ensured that we had a lovely dining experience

Amazing food. Great service. Lovely place. They create experiences so good you’ll never forget. Our number one Italian place. Would highlight recommend. My other half has gluten lactose intolerances, their menu is provides fantastic choice for people who can’t have gluten. She had heavenly thoughts when she took her first bite. Speisekarte ansehen

The 1st lol and u know that this is one classy place . The accent is polished , the tableware is just right , the servers quite smart , the prices , o quite high , all the makings of a hi end place . There is no disappointment here . The quality is impeccable. Sadly some of the prices are out of whack . The snootiness too is unwarranted On balance , this is a place with a 2nd visit

We were booked in for a birthday lunch on a busy Saturday. Unfortunately our guests were delayed by the appalling train service and were very late arriving. The restaurant were very accommodating and held our table. They were very attentive and never made us feel uncomfortable. When lunch got underway the service and food were excellent. The staff are brilliant with children. They really saved the day.

A cosy place which we booked for a treat. The meal was very good, although the menu did not offer as many choices as we'd have liked. It was quite busy on on Thurs night. The service is attentive BUT just as we left the female host was offering our coats from the cloakroom to other people!!! Luckily my husband noticed and intervened. No apology was given! Why have numbered cloakroom tickets if you just give away belongings? Ended the night on a low. Speisekarte ansehen

Oh dear oh dear. Never go back. My first visit here was 40+ years ago and Tony reigned supreme! From the tender age of 35, I have always been a fan. No more. The soup was water with added limited veg. the liver frankly indeible, the pototoes from a tin and so on. Service aveage at best. And I hate this U.S practice of offering a choice of tip from 15% upwards on multiple choice, it sucks. Sad all good things come to an end. My visits to Sale e Pepe being one such event.

I have been coming here for absolutely years, however since Tony left its been steadily going downhill. The menu was very limited, no specials (which were the best) The place was empty at 1300, very unusual. Langoustines were not shelled, was told that there wasnt much meat on them and so the dish would look empty. I was shown one (as if I hadnt seen one before) and it absolutely reeked. To top it all there was a £2 per head table charge, a coke that cost £6 and to top it all a 13% service charge. There is no atmosphere in the place any more, just very dour waiters who give you the impression they wished they were somewhere else. I wont go again, sorry to say it, but its not a good value for...

I have eaten in Sale e Pepe before and really enjoyed it. I needed to eat quickly and popped in to see if they had a table for 1. They did and I ordered spaghetti Carbonara and a large whiskey and coke. They brought some bread. I asked for butter. I didn’t get it. The spaghetti arrived quickly and it looked strange. It was like a solid lump of pasta. Very sticky and gluey. I ate a few mouthfuls but couldn’t eat anymore. I told the waiter and he brought the maitre de over. He asked if I wanted something else but as I was in a hurry I declined. I asked for the bill. He had taken the pasta of but it was still £21.
