"Got deliveroo, so may be different in the food court. Ordered hainanese chicken rice (a Singaporean hawker favourite), roti canai and sambal. The roti canai was great, potentially 50p or £1 too expensive but still great. Definitely order this. The hainanese chicken was mixed the sauce had great flavours. The chicken tasted nice but there wasn't enough meat if I compare it to $3sgd 5 hawker dishes I'd say they often have double the meat. At £9 I think there could be more meat, and less rice. For £9 it would also be a nice to have the usual accompaniments of Soy sauce, chilli sauce etc pots. Perhaps you get these if you eat in.Finally the sambal. This had some nice flavours, perhaps needed to be kicked up a notch on the spice front and probably reduced to about £1.5 or £2 max given the size of the pot. It's £2.80 on Deliveroo but 1.80 in store it seems. Perhaps an error? All in all, good enough that I'll be trying the laksa and Nasi Goreng soon!Edit: I think many of the prices on deliveroo are higher, probably the cater for the margins deliveroo take. Probably better to go and collect!"

Excellent traditional Malaysian dishes like Nasi Lemak, Char Kway Teow etc. It reminds me of the hawker stalls in Malaysia.

Fantastic experience, would recommend if you’re in the area. Certainly haven’t been anywhere quite like this in the UK before. Great vegan food too!

Staines food court is always great: excellent food for very decent prices. If you're in the area, you should check it out they have a good variety of Asian food, so you're almost certainly going to find something you like.

Amazing food! Authentic, hot and tasty! Friendly staff. Reasonably priced drinks. Chinese tea is a must. Great eat in experience. Clean toilets and facilities. Local parking. What more could you want? A great taste of the orient!

The noodles were well sauced and with plenty of egg, fish and chicken to keep every bite very varied texturally. The spice level of the noodles and the salad were both a bit too mild for my liking, the spice was not very detectable in the salad especially.

Just amazing! We are regulars here and enjoy every visit. Sushi (Eat Japan), Thai curry (Nisa’s Thai Kitchen) or egg bubble (Hong Kong Street food) waffle are all amazing! We would highly recommend ending the evening with a dessert at the best place we’ve had the pleasure of eating at. Just ask for Walter!

Great place if you are missing some Malaysian Singaporean palate. You can ask the owners to amp up the spicyness for you if you are looking for something more similar to what you find back in south east asia. Not 100% like for like, comparable to what you find back in asia but probably one of the better ones in the county. Def worth the visits

Desert Star Dessert Kiosk serves the best handmade dumplings and homemade chili oil! They also have the friendliest staff around! My first visit to Staines Food Dish wasn't great, but after trying the dumplings from Desert Star Dessert and the prawn bento from Eat Japan this time, I can say the trip was absolutely worth it. These two shops alone provide enough delicious food to satisfy their fans, and the portion sizes are very generous as well!

"Used to be good, but had a poor experience last night. We went as a family of four and had a meal in the left bank restaurant. The table service was quite poor and the bill had a £13 service charge slapped on automatically. The total bill was £126 plus tip, making £139. I left £130 truly believing it was sufficient under the circumstances. The waiter came back twice saying it wasn't enough money. I explained once that the service charge was optional and that I have left enough including an appropriate tip. This was rejected and the waiter again insisted I pay the full amount as it was not enough. I explained again about the tip. He came back yes again to query how I would make up the shortfall in the bill. I was forced to stand my ground and insist in front of everyone that I wasn't paying the full tip. Automatically slapping on £13 tip for poor service is one thing. To then repeatedly question and confront a customer over not paying the full tip in front of everyone is quite another thing altogether. I left the restaurant feeling both humiliation at the confrontation but also annoyance knowing that actually I was right. The tip is optional, discretionary, and voluntary. Putting it automatically on the bill could be seen as a helpful reminder, thank you, if you want to see it that way, but repeatedly insisting it is paid and that I have made a mistake in leaving a smaller tip and ignoring my explanation is just plain wrong."
