"I was bitterly disappointed about this place. When I first heard that this place had open I was very keen to try it as I love sushi! Although the food was good the service really let's this place down. I do not exaggerate when I say it was shocking! I have never experienced such poor servicemail from a non-busy restaurant at a non-peak time on a non-peak day (Sunday to be precise). It took us over an hour for our food and random dishes were being sent to us, so they had no clue of their own system. They did give us 20% off from our bill as they knew they had let us down. However, in retrospect I think it should have been more than 20%. I will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon. I think Management have some urgent matters to see to because this is a cause for concern (no exaggeration). I do not want to imagine their service on a busy Saturday evening!"

The Tepanyaki chef was fantastic and very pleasant. The food was full of flavor, the best meal we have had in years. We will definitely be returning with friends. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I have visited this restaurant several times before, but I was extremely disappointed with my most recent visit. The service was lacking and there was hardly any acknowledgement of this issue, which ultimately ruined the dining experience.

Came for Mother’s Day which was fab. Booked to come with friends and our children and the pushchairs are deemed an inconvenience, even though I stated we would be bringing them. Service was slow, food arrived at different times-a good 20 mins. Not acceptable

Very nice environment as first time in the Hornchurch Sushi City. The food was amazing, you have to wait a while for the sushi to be served as its all hand made freshly to order so tastes even better (Worth the wait). Wine was great, and waitresses were very friendly. Overall very nice experience and would definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful experience at this Japanese restaurant! The atmosphere was fantastic as we enjoyed a nice dinner with my friends. The DJ playing music was great, not too loud. The waiters were friendly and attentive, with three of them checking in on us to see if we needed anything. The short lady with glasses was also very accommodating, making sure everything was okay at our table. From the moment we walked in, we felt very welcome. The owners and staff did a fantastic job. And of course, the food was delicious. I will definitely be returning!
