"husband and I were here at this weekend. hotel is beautiful and clean. the staff was very friendly and helpful. we wanted to go early on Saturday morning to climb snowdon. because we wanted to miss out on the cooked breakfast included in our room, the employees made us a complete lunch package instead. very nice of them and was also delicious. Dinner and drink were very reasonable prices. meal times are huge portions, the Welsh lamb hotpot is one must! many cooked breakfast options and a bar of extras to help themselves. Bedroom suites were beautifully designed and very cozy. was too warm sometimes the radiator had to turn down. shower was also super hot. not many parking spaces, but we always have one and many parking spaces in the city. would highly recommend and would stay again."

"my sister in law and brother in law chose this place for her high time reception on 6 august 2016 and it was absolutely perfect! the location is simply stunning the restaurant and the terrace all views over cader idris and the environment and in the sun of the day, it blows away all of us. you can only not help but be used to them. from the moment we all arrived, nothing was too much annoyed for the staff. they were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. they had the two floors beautifully arranged we all enjoyed a glass fizz down and on the terrace and then up to eat the high-time breakfast. eating was amazing, I still dream of potato dauphinoise and chicken breast! such a high food standard for so many of us all at the same time was very impressive! the chocolate dessert has been much thought out since! the speck and sausage rolls later were also delicious! we spent the biggest part of the day there arrived at the midday and leave shortly before midnight and throughout enjoyed our time! so much we have asked lou and caffeine to make it an annual thing! cannot praise the venue, the manager, the cook and all the employees high enough they all helped to make a wonderful family celebration absolutely perfect! thank you! visited august 2016"

"we had a weekend stay in dolgellau and booked for Friday night. wow an amazing starter and an even better steak than our main meal. could not end it as absolutely filled. the staff was very helpful and friendly. the steaks were cooked to perfection. we loved it so much that we booked again this evening (saturday) again, eating was amazing that I had ribs that were huge. but tonight it was done. even if it was more business than last night, the employees still had time to chat and asked if everything was in order. will definitely be back when we are close. john, you have a great restaurant and your staff are proud."

"What a find, lovely quant pub. Stopped for food when passing through on way home from Barmouth and did not disappoint. Had the pie of the day which was minted lamb. Came with a choose of chips or mash and a generous side of mixed veg, which consisted of carrots cauliflower beans braised red cabbage courgettes and sprouts. Would recommend to anyone and we will be back for more."

"this pub is located in the central area of dolgellau. it has an inconspicuous entrance either from the front or rear garden area. this will quickly forget when it is decorated in the pub, tastefully in local style. they offer food as well as drink and eating is well prepared, substantially and costly. there are tables both in the upper and in the garden. the pub is also proud to be dog friendly and has won a national award. it even has a dog menu. this pub is recommended either for a drink or a meal or both and bring the dog, both it and it is well served by the friendly staff."
