Fantastic food with a large varied menu to suit pretty much all tastes. Lots of veggie and vegan alternatives too. Lovely setting and good service. We had a lovely time and would recommend

Lovely quality home cooked food . Very good choice for vegetarians , we have been a number of times . Lots of choice and very good value , lovely friendly staff . Very welcoming to couples and larger groups of people . Highly recommended .

Very friendly staff, Sophie and Bec’s were very attentive and helpful, the food is very nice, good range of foods, and open at 12pm for a lovely all day breakfast. If you’re near by and need something homely or a pint and a burger, I would recommend the Blue Boar. Speisekarte ansehen

Visited the Blueboar this evening and as always the food in this instance Steak was excellent. Brilliant ‘Front of House Service’ and reflected by how busy the restaurant was for a wet Tuesday evening. Hospitality at its best with online booking a welcome addition.

Had a takeaway from here tonight and it was not good .Theresa's a missing item which was paid for and just eat do not refund only a credit not .as I won't be ordering from here again its just money lost.the fries were inedible as overcooked.very disappointed as was recommended by someone .

Mid week dinner at a dog friendly location. Lovely starter and well portioned and tasty main meals breaded chicken strips are very big and tasty Katsu curry. Friendly staff and good location. They used to do 2 main meals for £15 but now offer many meals for less than £10 each, all very fairly priced. Speisekarte ansehen

Chose to visit here purely by using good old Google. We were staying nearby and wanted an evening meal. We hadn't booked but were quickly accommodated. Very friendly staff. A very extensive menu. Food was excellent. I had stonebaked pizza, my wife had salmon and prawn salad. So glad we went there. Will definitely call again when visiting in future.

Went on a Friday at 6.30 to a packed venue which in some ways was good but other ways can be bad, where we were seated was unfortunately near the door in the smaller side of the building but when we go again will ask to sit in the bar side, service a bit slow but polite chatty, bit of a wait for drinks but food arrived quickly considering how busy take away orders were going out, starters mains were excellent for the price can’t be beaten anywhere that I know of, will be returning asap to sample more of this gem of a place. Ps there is also a menu for dogs

Plastic in the homemade pudding. March 2024 I took the family for Easter lunch, we had 2 roast beef and a roast lamb an Eton Mess, a fruit crumble and I had the homemade jam roly poly, this is were the issue started. In my second spoonful of the pudding I found it contained a piece of plastic which stuck in my gum, on inspection it looked like the rim of a take away container about the length of my thumb nail and 3mm wide and very sharp its a good job I did not swallow it, Heaven knows what problems that would have caused. My daughter called over a member of kitchen staff who was walking through the restaurant at the time and I showed him the contaminate, he took it and went back to the kitc... Speisekarte ansehen
