"I visited the pub in September 2014 following a game of football in the same village. We were provided homemade burgers with wedges which I must say were excellent. You can tell the burgers were not of a frozen variety and packed with lovely peppery flavours. To drink I had a Lighterman ale which was perfectly clear so no problems there. The pub also offered free high speed wifi and live sports on TV (premiership rugby at the time of visit). My only criticism we weren 't made to feel overly welcome by the staff at the time of my visit. But we were served our drinks and our food without having to wait so can 't fault that. From reading the other reviews here it seems like the service can be a bit hit and miss so it 's something to consider."

Nice little country pub. Very friendly landlord, great selection of drinks on offer and good food. Log burner was on to warm up the pub which was lovely.

Saturday lunch was a really lovely experience here. Good local ale palatable wine. Lunch was tasty, fresh and basically exactly what you want on Grand National Day. Served by great staff who had a sense of humour and made you feel welcome. On top of that the pool table was free!!

I pre-ordered the sweet and sour chicken with rice at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing as it consisted of sauce from a jar, a few chunks of chicken, and four cold roast potatoes. It was definitely not worth the money. Additionally, the staff were unfriendly. Speisekarte ansehen

I went on the off chance my family wanted a pub meal. The staff were welcoming, and two of us had the carvery. The third was a vegetarian and some pubs find it hard to cater for a vegetarian, but the Copper Key was very good about it. When we arrived, a little late, there were plenty of customers. We did not have to wait too long for service and the chef had been on a break but came off to serve us. The atmosphere was good, and the price was about right.

We heard that the restaurant has been taken over by a good chef and his wife.so we thought we would try it .the chef has a good following having worked at the beer engine for many years and now does outside catering as well as this new venture. He didn't let him self down at all .there was a friendly welcome ,lovely open fire and the pub has got a lot of character There food was awesome and the homemade deserts were wonderful, defiantly worth a try if your out and about

"Gidleigh Park is a country house located in a wooden wally in Devon. It is quite hard to reach the place on a very narrow road, which is very beautiful, but apparently during the winter larger cars can’t even get there. Gidleigh Park houses a two-Michelin star restaurant with Michael Caines as the main chef (the restaurant was recently voted number 1 restaurant in the UK by the Harden’s Sunday Times Food List 2014). Gidleigh Park also has bedrooms (apparently all individual in style and design) and you can stay there for the night and then wonder in the gardens of the estate, which I saw some people doing when I was there. I was visiting Devon and my boyfriend chose Gidleigh Park for lunch on a Sunday and we took the long and narrow road to Gidleigh Park. The inside of the house was very old and had a lot of charm. It had eclectic art and antiques and different style rooms, the lounge had different tables, chairs and the bar was done up in a completely different style. Gidleigh Park showcased British charm and elegance. You could chose to have their signature sample menu for £140/ person, but instead we went for the much cheaper version, their lunch set menu for £44/ person for 3 courses (you could also have 4 courses for £57). Also note choosing dishes a la carte would set you back £115, so the lunch menu seems like the cheapest way how to enjoy Gidleigh Park. We did not have any wine, but apparently thy have an amazing wine cellar. The three course lunch menu included a small appetizer, a starter and a main course and you could choose from one of the 3 starters and one of the 3 main courses. Our appetizer was “goat’s cheese foam with beetroot jelly, candied walnuts and granny smith apple”, but as my boyfriend does not like goats’ cheese he had a tuna tartar as his appetizer which actually looked better than my appetizer. I was not to"
