I had the roast pork which was a bit fatty, and the roast potatoes were hard to cut but okay. The meal was for lunch and cost between £10-20 per person. The food received a rating of 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5. Speisekarte ansehen

Really nice food. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon after a walk in the woods half assuming we wouldn't be seated. They sat us straight away. Food was lovely. Nice chilled atmosphere. Fully recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visited for a lunchtime meal. The selected lunch with 3 courses for £25 was a great selection and varied menu. Great, classic pub food with welcoming service in great historical pub surroundings. As a couple that both work weekends ! We don’t have time to cook Sunday lunch . So each Sunday we have a takeaway from The George and I must say it never disappoints!!! With a fantastic choice on the Sunday lunch menu , we never get bored and have tried all the meat dishes , all of which have been superb. Just like a home cooked meal . Fresh veg crispy roasties , tender meat and home made Yorkshire and gravy . Definitely recommend Speisekarte ansehen
