"Worst customer service EVER! Unfortunately the 2 gentlemen that work behind the bar are the most rude and unfriendly people I've met in a pub industry ever. We were there last night celebrating our friends wedding, after all the 2 years the industry went through, you would think these people would be pleased to have customers again! Unfortunately, not, these 2 should be working in a tea house , not in a pub. Will never step a food there again! Horrible"

Well, a proper old fashioned establishment. Cask and Keg on offer, nothing fancy but well done. A CAMRA lauded pub. This place also features Tony Fingers Pearson on the piano various days of the week. Pop in for the singalong! Hope you enjoy.

Stumbled across this place a few weeks ago now and have already made a return visit! Lovely little boozer, great service from staff. Would definitely recommend and obviously would revisit. Only gripe is due to it being small there is not a lot of seating.

The food was tasty and the beer was very cold. I like fish and chips and the peas were cooked well. No salt needed because it was perfectly seasoned. My colleague had the mac and cheese and sha said it was delicious. It would bre nice to return to the pub next time I'm in town.
