"The Vernon is a great pub, the staff are all lovely and very helpful. There is a good variety on the menu, quite reasonable. I really cannot fault this pub in any way. Roaring fire in main room . 10/10 in my books. "Amazing worth eating fantastic, as much as we eat here for breakfast daily, had afternoon tea (total amazing together with a few evening meal). only the word of the intention is prepared to overthrow their nutrition when they eat here: never disappointed by the food or our greeting from sean, tina and all staff. obic don't forget the security chief, we miss you already. keep the good work, they will all see again very soon, pat martin x"

"We stayed for 3 nights, b b, for a really good price. Whilst a bit on the small side, our room was warm, clean and tidy. Bottled water, biscuits, tea and coffee were topped up or replaced daily. Our cooked breakfasts were excellent as were our evening meals (halloumi burger and beef burger). All of the staff were friendly and efficient and really made our stay enjoyable. Overstrand is an excellent base to explore the northern part of Norfolk. Our highlight was a walk on the coast path to Cromer. Tip: if the tide is out, walk to Cromer on the beach as it's easier going."

"This is a hidden gem tucked away in a little village not far from the coast. It's a homely pub with real character and very welcoming. We booked ahead and glad we did as it was busy. The menu is wide and varied but not too much so and contains lots of good home cooked type food. It was delicious, decent sized portions but not enormous . The service was very friendly as were the staff. Check it out, you'll not be disappointed."

"We met good friends here for a catch up, drinks and an evening meal. It exceeded our expectations in all respects which made for a really enjoyable evening after a long time apart. The welcome was warm and genuine. The food delicious and reasonably priced and the service excellent. If this pub was on wheels I'd tow it to the end of my street. Shame it's not so will be going back. Thanks"
