The Jetty, Ocean Village

Wow! What a fabulous place! The location by the marina sets it off but the staff are polite and friendly, the 5 course Burns inspired lunch was absolutely amazing and it is lovely relaxing place to eat. We will definitely return.

Without doubt a wonderful place to have lunch or any meal for that matter. The staff are a shining light and a credit to the restaurant. Gustavo was the ideal host. Attentive and knowledgeable about the food on offer. A high point of our visit.

Hana was our waitress she was so lovely she made my birthday because she was very personal and made us laugh, the food was amazing as always we dine at the Jetty often and we love it every time the only thing I would change is the red wine/peppercorn sauce it’s a little watery but other than that everything is perfect and again massive thankyou to Hana we loved you Speisekarte ansehen

We had a spa experience next door which was excellent and then recommended to The Jetty. The lovely receptionist recommended the cheese souffle and the roast, wow so pleased she did. We had the 'Burns ' menu/offer 5 courses for £35 all of which were superb! The sun shone whilst we overlooked the boats, the food, service and whole experience was excellent. We 're planning a revisit!

We had a wonderful experience at this charming restaurant in Southampton. The decor, atmosphere, views, service, and food were all excellent. To celebrate our son's birthday, we opted for the Sunday set lunch and were very impressed with all the courses, which were not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. We will definitely come back to try the tasting menu next time we're in Southampton. Highly recommend!

For dessert, I had the cheese board which required a supplement and did not come with enough crackers. Overall, I was very underwhelmed with the experience. There were other issues such as my niece's plain pasta arriving with potato skins on it. It seemed that attention to detail was lacking, the overall meal experience was not well thought out, and it was not worth the money. It’s my go to restaurant when I want to relax. Food as usual was superb, tried the Venison tartar with blackberries and beetroot as my starter followed by the Sea Bass with muscles. The latter was stunning, the curried muscles with the veloute melted in my mouth my old favourite the passion fruit soufflé had been replaced by a banana soufflé, however I asked for a passion fruit soufflé and that’s what they delivered. This is the reason in part why I come back. You dine at your own pace, the staff are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble. The choices of wines were fantastic and made the experience more enjoyable.

We visited for the 3 course Sunday lunch. My wife's Souffle Arnold Bennett was excellent but my Saffron Crab Risotto was so over salted that I couldn't eat all of it. The main course roast was OK by pub standards but not how I would have hoped it would be here. So far I'd have rated The Jetty at an average 3 out of 5 but then came the final nail in it's coffin. A 45 minute wait for the dessert and it still wasn't there. When I complained I was told that my wife's Fondant took 12 minutes to cook. I failed to see how this could explain the 45 minute wait. Fed up we left without ever seeing our desserts. I think I'm being kind in giving The Jetty 2 stars.

This is the best roast dinner in Southampton. Myself, sister, mum and daughter went to the Jetty one Sunday lunchtime, we regularly try places in and around Southampton for their roast dinners, and this is easily the best. Two of us has the pork trio roast, and one the beef, everything was cooked perfectly. The pork came with a delicious apple puree, the vegetables were roast potatoes, roast carrots and parsnips, kale and cauliflower cheese, all delicious, full of flavour and really filling. You must go and try this dinner as my review doesn’t do it justice. The service was impeccable, with knowledgeable staff who create a welcoming atmosphere.
