"What an exceptional hidden gem! We sat outside in a beautiful garden area, ordered and waited long enough to know the food was cooked to order but not too long. Our food arrived and it was upper end Resteraunt quality. A great touch was a table offering FREE use of straw hats, sin cream etc for customer use; a genius addition. I have MS and had the start of a 'flare up ' which, when we were at the car I ended up on the floor by the car (no, not beause of the wine! a member of staff with no fuss, no comment came and got me into our car! Thank you oh nameless one. We feel so comfortable recommending the phoenix to everyone. We 'll done staff, chefs and anybody else involved in making this place so good. 10 Stars"

the venue was nice, it was cat's 51 bday lunch so it was scurril. the sandwiches were just the right size for me .great place .definitely return .

cute little pub was apparently george bests favorite hingout spot. the staff is very friendly and they get always regular here, it is almost like a family environment and eating is delicious good pub-grub

I was horrified of the service I received, I've never been so badly treated in my life. manager and employees were incredibly rude and that was reflected in the people and customers who went there. absolutely shameful.

eating brilliant quality, huge fish and chips, could not end it yourself! a beautiful old pub with low cover and pockets of character. the day service was very busy, but everyone observed the kovid-related lead (masks etc). a large selection of local beers also. large table service

Overall I don't think this is bad pub, and from the reviews of my friends on today's meal / service, this does not seem the norm. but this is the night I was there for the first time, and that's what I found. Truly, eating did not take away from a good night, but I was there with funny people, the atmosphere was buzzing and the wine flowing. (but my expectations were higher).

I'm sorry, I just can't get rid of this song in my ear! “As I come to phoenix, it rises....” you know the glen gampbell before an eternality. it would be much more pleasing to think of the phoenix that rises from ashes, inner renewal, cleaning through the fireblow, but I am here walker and, happily humiliating, as I descend from sloane square the kings road, take a left in the smith street and then already the warm glowing bulb at the corner there.

a few friends have recommended the phoenix inn recently, so I decided to dinner tonight. there was a swallow with our table and the general service was slow (see 45 minutes to take our food order, but the atmosphere fluctuated and eating more than for the easy under par service. I just came home and recommended the place to another friend. even if it was steak this evening, there were still many options for non-Fleisch-Esser the Mediterranean veg halloumi was beautiful! will definitely be back:
