"Honestly cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant it has it all, warm friendly atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and fairly priced well cooked tasty food. And also very honest and helpful, due to a mix up with our bill I was over charged and didn’t...realise until later on and we were several miles away. I contacted the restaurant by phone and they went above and beyond to rectify the mix up and reimburse the money which I’m quite sure a lot of other places wouldn’t of. So as I said before this pub/restaurant really does tick all the boxes and I highly recommend paying a visit."

The pub was ok but the service was nothing to write home about. A few of the items were off the menu which was disappointing.

I played in the mai 2022 for lunch, the beer quality and the choice are some of the best in the opposite, with otter, dartmoor brewery and teignworthy all on tap. it was very busy when I came in and all people seemed extreme. happy with eating like me. I couldn't owe it.

Very nice pub lots of room I don't know whether we was just unlucky but the Carvery was not good at all Beef although pink in the middle was tough as rubber on the outside , pork was fine potatoes felt they were reheated and...the worst of all the Yorkshire pudding was not cooked and was basically dough so not a good experience. Would give it another go maybe we will see.

They don't eat here unless they want cold, hard food. the meal of the child came with a pizza hard enough to break my sons teeth. I still wonder how to screw a frozen pizza on the earth. we sent them back and they were chips. overwhelmed on the meal. carvery was good tepid. they could knock someone with their Yorkshire puddings that were so hard. worst meal I had. the beer was the only plus.

Great beer selection and the ones we tried were well conditioned and tasty. Bar staff and locals very friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly as well. Great view from the beer garden too. Good menu options with plenty of traditional choices. Food came quickly was hot...tasty and plenty of it. Liver and bacon was delicious and the Gammon steak was lovely with trimmings. Highly recommend for a good local traditional friendly pub. Will be back again soon

"Gidleigh Park is a country house located in a wooden wally in Devon. It is quite hard to reach the place on a very narrow road, which is very beautiful, but apparently during the winter larger cars can’t even get there. Gidleigh Park houses a two-Michelin star restaurant with Michael Caines as the main chef (the restaurant was recently voted number 1 restaurant in the UK by the Harden’s Sunday Times Food List 2014). Gidleigh Park also has bedrooms (apparently all individual in style and design) and you can stay there for the night and then wonder in the gardens of the estate, which I saw some people doing when I was there. I was visiting Devon and my boyfriend chose Gidleigh Park for lunch on a Sunday and we took the long and narrow road to Gidleigh Park. The inside of the house was very old and had a lot of charm. It had eclectic art and antiques and different style rooms, the lounge had different tables, chairs and the bar was done up in a completely different style. Gidleigh Park showcased British charm and elegance. You could chose to have their signature sample menu for £140/ person, but instead we went for the much cheaper version, their lunch set menu for £44/ person for 3 courses (you could also have 4 courses for £57). Also note choosing dishes a la carte would set you back £115, so the lunch menu seems like the cheapest way how to enjoy Gidleigh Park. We did not have any wine, but apparently thy have an amazing wine cellar. The three course lunch menu included a small appetizer, a starter and a main course and you could choose from one of the 3 starters and one of the 3 main courses. Our appetizer was “goat’s cheese foam with beetroot jelly, candied walnuts and granny smith apple”, but as my boyfriend does not like goats’ cheese he had a tuna tartar as his appetizer which actually looked better than my appetizer. I was not to"
