Lovely lunch here and really enjoyed the cheddar suffle starter and main of chalk steam trout fillet. Very good value and a good range of beers on tap. The food is fantastic, and the service is excellent! I particularly enjoyed the smoked pork belly with bratapfel and puree. The dessert, sticky toffee pudding, was also delightfully surprising! They even offer a complimentary rose, and kids eat for free. Well done, and thank you! We’ll definitely be back!

The food was only okay, it was quite bland and just lacked flavour (the celeriac). The service was also quite slow. But the sticky toffee pudding was good. We had a fantastic family meal and were very impressed with the quality of food, the price and the service! Our dogs were made very welcome and the staff were all friendly. We were running late as our walk took longer so we rang ahead and the staff member was very helpful and had actually moved the booking on when we arrived! We will return! If you enjoy a well-cooked ribeye steak, you can't go wrong at the Queen's Head! The wine selection is also excellent. Update (27/4/23): I had the perfect pork ribeye this time, but the burger was slightly overcooked. The service, however, was as good as ever. I absolutely love the classic Sunday roast at this restaurant. I usually order the beef, which is cooked to a perfect pink. The gravy is rich, hearty, and not overly salty, and they serve a lovely portion of sweet, cheesy cauliflower as well as crispy bratkartoffeln. The Yorkshire puddings are among the best I’ve ever had. The desserts are generous too, and one of my favorites is the apple crumble. A meal here always leaves me feeling warm and satisfied! In the winter, the atmosphere is very cozy with open fireplaces and comfortable sofas scattered throughout the room. It’s a fantastic local spot with friendly service. Speisekarte ansehen
