Fantastic to have great food on the doorstep. Sunday lunch was super, and have since tried the ‘Queens Burger’, will be back again for one of those!

Great English breakfast, saw the advert on fb, decided to give it a try and wasn't disappointed! Served quickly, and price very reasonable £7 Inc a drink Would definitely return!

Some time since I have been in this pub, but new furniture and new seating at front of pub, which will be great to sit out in the evening in this pretty village when weather permits. Lunch food had excellent presentation and quality, but is quite pricey for the amount of main ingredient you get.

I’m not much into Sunday dinners have been put off in the past by the carvery experience. However, this was a great pub and the roast lunch was perfect. Care taken in all elements of the meal, great choice of meats and beautifully cooked accompaniments. Glad we’ve found this pub and discovered the Sunday lunch.

I really can’t thank the Queens enough following my mums funeral last Friday (3/3/23) Natalie has been amazing keeping in touch and getting things just how mum would have wanted things. Staff were on hand if we needed anything and the pub just looks fantastic after some recent renovations. Mum would have just loved sitting chatting with people with a cuppa and piece of cake, exactly how we wanted it. Thank you all again for a great tribute and send off for my mum

We visited The queens head on Mother’s Day. Everything was to the highest standard from the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left. We ordered our meals after about 10 minutes of being seated. The Sunday lunch was delicious and perfectly presented. A lovely selection of desserts were available and they were extremely moreish. The staff were extremely accommodating and nothing was to much trouble. We highly recommend this to traditional village pub and are looking forward to returning!

We received a very warm welcome, and were served at our table, the waitress was very pleasant, which we appreciated. The food however let it down, I can’t remember what the name of the chicken was but the topping just tasted of tomato ketchup and had melted cheese on top of it, it tasted like it had just been pinged in the microwave and slapped on the plate; I asked for a coffee afterwards, was told there was cappuccino or tea, surprised, I said do you just do a normal coffee? So I got bought out instant coffee in a latte glass, it was awful. When we went to pay, there was a proper coffee machine behind the bar… can’t understand why I couldn’t get a decent coffee then. The pictures on Facebook looked good so we thought we would give it a go. It was a massive disappointment, would never dream of going back sadly. I’ve given it two points but only because the Yorkshire pudding was good. The rest of it was really poor. Food alone for two adults and one small child was £50. We had a main and a dessert. No idea how that was divided because we were never given a menu or any indication of cost. The portions were so small it was embarrassing.
