Today it was my birthday, it is a very special day for me for many good reasons. They walked the extra mile and made even more special. Thanks so much for a lovely day.

As my husband has an allergy to onions it was very refreshing that the waitress took her time to find out if choices had onions or onion powder included. The food was excellent, especially the vegetarian lasagne which I had. Would definitely recommend.

Sunday roast is great We usually go down once every couple of months and always have a cracking meal with friendly service. The only issue I ever run into is that the availability of a nice IPA to accompany it can sometimes be a bit patchy, but that’s what Guinness is for Speisekarte ansehen

This was great, but we were advised by the manager the place was temporarily closing for 6-8 weeks for refurbishment. It will re-open as a smokehouse in maybe March 2024. The prices were a little high considering this is such a suburban location. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4

This restaurant has a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind, and Josh provided excellent service. We enjoyed a delicious meal, particularly loving the steak pie and the appealing carvery. We will definitely return in the future! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Just had a meal here and it was amazing! I had the turkey and leek pie and it was awesome, the pastry was perfect and the filling was very tasty. My partner had the ribs and they were the biggest I’ve seen with so much meat. My daughter had fish and chips and the fish was fresh and the batter was light. The service was spot on and they were all very attentive, Jodie the manager was also amazing. Would highly recommend a meal here. Speisekarte ansehen

I have not visited this pub before, it is one of the pubs on the list of The great British Inns, we had dinner here for my brothers birthday and I have to say it was absolutely delicious, all starters were generous, and each was individually presented beautifully, the mains were again cooked divinely and presented beautifully, no dessert had apart from the Birthday boy, as the food was so filling. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating, I have to say the teriyaki pork belly starter was cooked to perfection. Anybody who loves and appreciates food should definitely give this place a try, we will definitely return. Bravo to the chef. Great food.

Don’t waste your time BOOKING a reservation!!! Booked a table for 3 of us for dinner a week prior to bank holiday Monday man on the phone at the time was in a World of his own singing in the background etc left contact details and booked for 7.30pm arrived on the Monday at 7.25 only to be told by the girl behind the bar That the kitchen is closed so no food available I explained we had a table booked for 7.30pm she said I will check then Rudely said it’s 6.45pm in the book no apologies and nobody contacted us to query it really Poor service no point in leaving contact details then as nobody will contact you didn’t even stay for a pint and definitely won’t be returning.

Not great. Took nearly 3 hours to be served dry over cooked chicken, you have to find the waiting staff to order then when you order expect long delays.Since the new opening unfortunately its all gone down hill from our first visit. We had to find our own waiter to order our puddings which never arrived, they did take them off the bill obviously. Staff are friendly enough when you find them but the food has been a mix from people rating their mains as low as 4/10 up to 9/10. Hopefully its just a one off and we will take the company back there to give them another chance because the staff are nice and its a nice pub so I put this down to a bad day in the office and should it be better I will...
