The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with delightful little touches all around. I could have spent the whole day enjoying good food, sipping tea, and watching the ever-changing weather through the windows. I will definitely be returning!

I celebrated my birthday at the Royal George, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The food was fantastic, the staff were attentive, and there was a great selection of cocktails and wines. Best of all, it was very reasonably priced for such high-quality food. Overall, I would rate the food and drinks as excellent, the service as a perfect 5, and the location also as a 5. my man and I booked a table last night, and our table was booked for 7 o'clock. when we came there, we were greeted immediately, with a smile and shown on our table. the service was the first class, and the eating was simply amazing, and the view of the table where we were sitting was breathing. the place itself, is also amazing, beautifully created, much space, and everything was just wonderful. the service, the food, the place and the view. and the prices are very good. a visit is great and we will return in contradiction. Thank you.

What a fantastic place to eat! One of the best restaurant experiences in all of England tucked away in North Devon. We could not have been more pleased to celebrate my husband’s birthday here for Sunday lunch. Right from the start a friendly greeting, beautiful dog-friendly table overlooking the water, excellent service, delicious food (ample portions). Staff could not have been more accommodating. Special thanks to Holly for making our experience so wonderful. The Royal George would be enough to lure us back to this part of the country.

wow! garth and his bands have made a wonderful job that restored this old appledore pub and reworked. tastefully decorated in the battleship gray with steam-punk fittings, there is a feeling of space and cozyness as they enter. the sleeper on the left side will be a combed place in winter. the upper floor has a restaurant area, a covered area with view of the mouth and an open area. a wonderful place for our post-lunch pint. we did not eat, but the menu looks great, very cheap and changed every day to reflect catches/season stuff. we're coming back!
