Great service and food was well done. Have had various work Christmas meals here over 15 or so years. This years was the best so far from beginning to end.

Just had a wonderful Sunday lunch. The food was so beautifully cooked and tasty. The service was brilliant too. Lovely atmosphere was made to feel very welcome too. Will be back.

Visited for Sunday lunch for our granddaughters christening. Staff very friendly and helpful especially with a big order from 34 people. Food was lovely throughly recomend Thank you to all the staff.

The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was just right. I would highly recommend this hidden gem on the outskirts of Romford. Nicola was an outstanding server and went above and beyond for us.

We stopped for a drink and some food. The atmosphere was very friendly. Sadly the food was very poor. My husband had Ham, egg and very soggy chips. When asked about our meal, our waitress asked was it the chips. We are still waiting ti hear the chefs comments. Disappointing as we drove there specially

I hired the restaurant last night to celebrate with my family friends and I am so pleased I did. It was amazing. The staff worked so hard and were so efficient and friendly, I couldn’t fault them. The buffet was delicious and everyone enjoyed the food It’s a really lovely venue especially as the evening was so hot but with the outdoor seating and air conditioning inside, it was perfect Thank you Top Oak

I had heard great things about this restaurant and I was not let down. While the decor could use an update and sitting in the small garden means dealing with a lot of traffic noise from the busy road nearby, the staff were friendly and the food was outstanding. Despite having to wait a long time for our food, the pan-fried fish was well worth it. I would gladly wait again for such delicious food. Kudos to the chef!

The restaurant appeared impressive from the outside, with its large pub/restaurant layout. We opted to dine in the restaurant section, which was quiet with only a few tables occupied. There was only one server, and it took us 20 minutes to place our order. While the menu looked appetizing, the food did not meet our expectations. The meal was pricey, comparable to eating at the Oxo Tower Brasserie in London, but the quality was more akin to standard pub fare. Overall, not a dining experience we would recommend.

We tried the Top oak for the first time on Saturday evening. Can I just say wow. Firstly, being greeted by Simon, the front of house was great, he was polite and spent the time to come and chat in between courses. He made us feel very welcome. The food itself, well, again, wow. Every course was spot on and full of flavour and the presentation was amazing. The chef Peter Bentley and his team absolutely smashed it. We booked up whilst we were there for a Sunday roast in a few weeks time. Thank you very much for a lovely experience. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful place. Jon.
