Delicious Sunday roasts with friendly staff and a great atmosphere too with a bit of live music.

We had a meal here to celebrate a family birthday. Good service, lovely atmosphere, food took a little too long to arrive but it was worth the wait! Look forward to returning...

it was a Monday evening, but the service was very bad... slow, irresponsible and the atmosphere was dead! it felt like we were eating in someone's house where cleaning and cleansing around us instead of watching us. very disappointing.

Booked this 4 months ago for party of 10. We arrived at 5.30 didn’t get main course until 7.30 and it was cold waited another hour before asking if we could order a dessert 8.50 desserts arrived to some and not to others it was an absolute nightmare. Completely ruined an important family event will never go back again

Eat well. only two employees in front of the house, which although very pleasant it took an hour before we got to eat. I always had to ask. people who came after us were served well before us. Unfortunately, as it is my men 80th birthday, but not specifically made, not even the message right on the birthday pudding plate. still gave 10% service Kid Friendship: not really. had our 2 year old granddaughter with us. had to ask at least twice for paper for drawing. most restaurants offer this dinge. great situation and atmosphere can be made by love to detail. while eating (drilled cheese/chorizo starter, quiche main course, main course) was generally disappointing from a high standard overall. the grilled cheese was not even melted. the quiche main course was a mere part, which was more like a starter. the back door of the house was opened even though it was in the middle of oktober and therefore it was a very cold table that we had to bear for lunch. like many similar foods it was chronically underoccupied, so even the payment took an eternality. even expensive, though thewellington has a lot of potential, this was unresolved by an overwhelming total offer.

My friends and I had dinner here last Saturday. The pub itself is nice and well maintained, with some live music in the form of an acoustic set providing a nice backdrop later in the evening. However, the food itself was a little below par. My partner and I had the vegetable Wellington, whilst my friends had the chicken supreme and the pie of the day. Each meal seemed impressive visually, but all four failed to deliver on taste, and were either bland or unfortunately just not good. Considering the price £19 for a main), we were all a bit disappointed. May be worth a visit, but I don't think we'll be returning.Parking: To the rear of the pub, space for around 20-30 cars

Beautiful building, comfortable good bar staff and waitress 's. But lacking in fine details.... Table that was allocated to us was sticky from what turned out to be poor varnish. Management knew about it BUT still put paying customers onto a table that they stuck to, damaging clothing and spoiling a special night. Management need to spend time with staff, showing how to serve a guest. Customer service is dying in this industry and it is one thing that will save and help expand a business. The food quality was OK, but the chef wanted to present a picture on a plate before ensuring the ingredients where cooked and flavoured well.
