the food and service here is incredible! both I and my family visited here several times and we never had a bad experience! we regularly drive to visit plymouth because it is amazing! can not wait for our next trip, we recommend it definitely!

absolutely ineffective eating! the best! this restaurant was recommended by my partner family who has been coming for years to newquay and every year visit them here! so glad that we have come, can not eat or personal mistakes, atmosphere is beautiful, the little story about how covid hit this restaurant is a readable, very touching! will come back next year. can't wait!

Dropped in unexpectedly. Immediately seated and advised this was table service and someone would be along shortly. They were. Excellent quality food, reasonable portions and a fair price. Not the cheapest, but in line with the quality of the food. Our meal was not rushed and staff were available as needed throughout. Absolutely will be back. This place has gone down hill. Such a shame. Everything but the food was great. 5 out of 8 of us had to send our food back. (They were great with replacing though so cant fault but meant 3 carried on eating whilst 5 had to wait for new food) the other 3 didn't send back because I can't bring myself to complain! Really did not enjoy our meal, the most disappointing £40 I've ever spent in my life.

The food is always amazing whenever we visit (usually on a Sunday). The roast dinner is spot on (always go for large such a difference in the size of the meals for just £1 difference). The desserts are legendary and a big draw for locals and tourists alike. However, the only thing that lets the restaurant down is the service. Not enough servers combined with young and inexperienced staff mean there’s always a delay or a problem getting the order right. Shame, as it could be perfect otherwise.

Very disappointed with the breakfast. As it was the final day of our holiday we decided to treat ourselves to the big breakfast. Portion size was great BUT the hogs pudding and mushrooms looked raw, the bacon was anaemic and the whole breakfast was cold. The only edible part for me was the two fried eggs and the toast. None of the very young staff asked if everything was OK during the meal and we left very dissatisfied. Later my husband, who has the constitution of an Ox, was violently sick. my wife remembered this place 3 years ago, I had forgotten it. we returned and it is still amazing eating that we took my mother to lunch, she was very satisfied. the first picture is the plaque of my builder, second the new york deli sandwich my mother. there are cakes and puddings are also amazing. we went on a Tuesday early afternoon, so was not too busy, but we were asked if we book so they can book a table. they make a roast every day that looked good. some pictures of the breakfast I had the big and wow it all day I liked my food very good price thinking, my was 9.95 2 sausages 2 ei, but I had diced so seems more 2 speck (can ask to cook a little longer) bor, cut roasted kartoffeln 2 t...

Have been a regular customer for many years. However , a recent impulse stop for lunch was a big mistake. The food was poor and the server was very inexperienced and dumped our food in front of us and disappeared. Not wanting to make a scene and complain in front of all the customers I decided to wait until we got home and reported our experience to them by email. We were treated like we were lying as they wished to review things on their CCTV. Didn’t bother to reply so after 10 days I contacted them again and a satisfactory resolution was not received. I visited the farm shop today for a few items, it's a nice place stocked with all sorts of delicious produce and a proper butchers. Some things were a little expensive but you expect that from a farm shop. After shopping I really wanted a coffee and a quick bite to eat as it was approaching approaching the lady on reception she seemed to look me up and down and even though I could see lots of empty seating I was informed they where full. I think I was turned down because I had walking attire on and hadn't shaved....certainly that's what the look I was given felt like.I shan't go back to either the shop or restaurant and looking at the Incredibly high ratio of average, terrible and poor revie...
