"We decided to eat here last minute on our trip to Edinburgh and it was our first visit to Yo Sushi. Friendly staff and the sushi was nice, but what ruined it was after we had finished our meal. As we were stacking the bowls up ready for the bill we noticed that one of the lids of the dishes had an expiry time of 3:30pm, baring in mind we ate at about 6pm. I was really concerned, especially with it being fish, and we weren’t too sure which of the dishes we ate was the one that was expired. We checked the rest of ours and they were okay (all with a time of about 6pm though), but we looked at the belt and saw that a large number of them expired at 3:30/4:30pm yet were still going round with people eating them. We told the young waitress who apologised and said that they were very understaffed so nobody had done a belt check recently. I understand it’s difficult with staff shortages, but surely health and safety should be a priority? She removed the cost of the most expensive plate off the bill, but we spent the rest of the night worrying whether we would get ill, and we had a flight home the next day. We were there for a further 15 minutes whilst she was sorting the bill, and it was only when we were leaving we saw somebody actually doing a belt check. A big disappointment, it has put me off Yo Sushi for life, and I was a bit shocked at the lack of care the staff had for health and safety."

Lovely and tasty food with a very cool system of delivery. However thing advertised on the menu were not available for order and the food was considerably pricey. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

When we arrived we were asked if we had a booking. We were there earlier and was told no booking was required, but was then put way out back and had no service in the corner! Was not a very pleasant experience Speisekarte ansehen

The staff were very friendly and we only had a wait of 10 mins before we were seated. The service was excellent as was the quality of the food. The best part was our view over Princess Street Gardens onto Edinburgh Castle.

The food was terrible. Nothing on the belt, waited an hour to get food. Half the ingredients were missing from the dish. The server was visibly ill and should not have been working. No glasses for drinks, told to drink out of the bottle. Won't be back. The view of the castle is nice though
