Aux Tonneaux des Halles

Wonderful selection and my husband had a dish which had different meats, all cooked to perfection and enough to fill him up. Staff were wonderful and in an area with so much character and shopping or eating. Highly recommend this on your trip to Paris.

Ive been going here off and on for 20 plus years. Its had its highs, currently, its gaving a low. Two unintersted waitresses more interested in their social networking accounts than working, a bad razor thin rump steak, naturally overcooked. Supermarket quality wine. But, oh that red head drinks lady, what on earth is she getting paid for?

We are 5 friends of Berlin passing by and we stoped here for having à drink and we had a very warm welcome. The people were really kind with a good atmosphere. We extend our time here with the diner and the food was really good with perfect tasty french food.If i have the opportunity i will definitely come back and i strongly recommend this place.

Had lunch there yesterdaySince my colleague is vegetarian we picked this place because the board outside said "assiette végétarienne"This was a very good choice with lots of tasty vegetablesThe waiter appeared to be a bit lost.. not sure about what she was supposed to do...She didn t make our coffees properly ( café allongé with cold water for example)I hope they will provide her with additional training..

On a tip from friends who lived in this neighborhood, we searched out Aux Tonneaux among a street full of eateries. This unassuming little neighborhood restaurant provided a delicious meal in a 'no frills' atmosphere. We enjoyed a bone marrow entree followed by steak and frites, all of it was very good. We had just enough room for the Baba au rum - rich and creamy. Almost forgot - a nice bottle of wine on the server's suggestion complemented our meal. Reasonably priced in the heart of Paris.

Liked the food, took the thai burger with a paint of beer. The meat was so tender and its sauce was very good, sometimes spicy. I asked to replace the salad for some veggies and the waitress didnt give me fries so I had to pay extra fries.The service was so slow even tho we were the only table in the terrace, took like 40 mins to get served and the price was totally crazy. 30 Euros for a paint and a burger + fries. I accept Paris can overcharge for its menus but this is disrespectful.I dont think im coming back

Visited on our final night in Paris during a trip celebrating our anniversary and were absolutely thrilled with the service, ambiance & especially the delicious meal! My husband and I shared the cote de boeuf which arrived with a mixed green salad, frites and two incredible sauces (bernaise & a house-created soy-butter) for 60 euros. It was a fantastic value for such a delicious, decadent meal!. Service was friendly and attentive & the tables, though close together, lent to the warm, authentically-French atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Suggested by a friend that works in Paris a couple of times a year, this restaurant didn't disappoint. Located in a street that is closed to traffic, it offers great atmosphere and you can sit outside. Pls bear in mind French people smoke a lot so it's a given that there'll be smokers around you. We ordered steak and frittes for €60 for 2. It came with 2 individual portions of French fries and salad. The steak came medium and it's worthless to ask to have it medium well or well done! They don't cook steak well done, but it was really tasty and it came with 2 sauces that were delicious specially the soy and butter one. The waiters are very friendly too and speak good English!

We are a family with two children who were hungry and it was late so perhaps we started our evening from a not so good position. We didn't want to sit outside at the front because it was tight and everyone was smoking! However, inside at the rear, tightly squeezed next to other diners was not so pleasant either. A warm summer evening made the restaurant stuffy and hot, and the back area was aesthetically unpleasant. Thus, these conditions may have impacted on our taste buds - my son did not like the fish and chips - the fish was too dry. I had the steak with chips which was okay.
