Chez Monsieur - Speisekarte

It is a pleasant restaurant and the food is good. However, they charge prices that would apply to a gourmet food restaurant and the dishes are not gourmet but more like the kind you would find in an average French restaurant.

We enjoyed the cuisine and the ambiance of the restaurant’s decor. We had the veal stew, catch of the day, beef fillet, escargots. The flavors were rich and very filling. Many of the entrees should have been shared by 2 people, too much for for one person.

We came back 20 months after. In previous times in Paris, somehow we couldn't make it there, either it was closed, either it was full with no vacant table.The food was OK. No less, no more. Our waiter was excellent, his colleague was quite a disaster. Prices went up a bit, and it made us feel a bit sorry- for us and for them too

If you are into bistros - which by the way was a word used by russian cossacks and means 'quick', Chez Monsieur could well be the best bistro in Paris. I agree with the reviewer that the 'Blanqutte de Veau' con easily be the the best veal that anyone, anywhere, can have. I also had a great pork chop. Staff is more than friendly and the wine list a hit. Do make an effort to dine at this excellent bistro¡ We will return¡

We travelled to Paris specifically for dinner with friends. It was so good! Foie gras pate, rib of veal, cheese board, a lovely Sancerre, a very good Volnay and great company. Our waiter (there were 4 adults and three children)Mhandled the table beautifully. Made sure that the children had enough of the delicious btread they pounced on it every time a new basket was brought to the table. All in all a very satisfying experience.

I've been told you're gonna be disappointed. It's okay, no more. it is very good and almost perfectly realized. the calf blanquette alone deserves the movement. absolutely perfect. snails are rare had a more sophisticated butter than usual. damage that they were not hot enough, the snail lukewarm is unpleasant. apart that nothing to say. Many tourists at the table, it is true that it is the archetype of what Americans like to bet.

Das Restaurant ist bei weitem nicht so hübsch wie die Webseite es einem vortäuscht. Chez Monsieur gehört zu les Climats ein recht gute Sternelokal im 7. ten. Vom Stern hat aber hier nix abgefärbt. Das was wir gegessen haben war einfach nur schlecht. Lustig ist die Weinkarte es werden wenige Flaschen für ca. 50-60 Euro angeboten der Rest ist dann 90-300 Euro. Passt nicht zum Lokal und vor allem nicht zu der Küche. Nicht empfehlenswert.

The blanquette de veau at Chez Monsieur is a real treat - even worth a trip to Paris just to savor it! Charming restaurant off the Place Madeleine. Excellent service, delicious, fresh food. The desserts are home made and excellent, especially the profiteroles. One tip: go early as the specials tend to run out quickly since they buy their products daily to keep the food fresh and the good stuff runs out quickly. We will certainly be back soon!

This is the ideal place that a traveler hopes to fall into, but you must have a reservation. You'll be lucky if your server is Henri - he his warm, inviting and professional (funny too!)Menu here is short but amazing. Fish is fresh and deboned table-side. Veal stew, the house specialty lives up to the reputation of tender and flavorful. Nice wine list and we love the Chablis. They also offer a hard to find red Sancerre that is very memorable. Price point is very reasonable, don't miss the profiteroles- chocolate sauce from heaven!
