Food always spot on been twice recently good selection of beers great menu will definitely go back well recommended

We were their with my family for my 70th birthday today food was out of this world as usual Karen Sam plus all the staff make you so welcome and I like to thank all the chefs and kitchen staff for fabulous food and service

1st time trying food here and won't be the last... Lovely little dog friendly pub.. staff very friendly and welcoming. Food service was quick and the quality was lovely. We all enjoyed our Meals. We even made room for dessert.

Sunday Lunch with family. This establishment never fails to impress. Beef and Pork absolutely delicious, an array of vegetables all cooked to perfection. Great friendly service, good range of ales on offer. First class, highly recommend.

Super staff, atmosphere, food and general feeling. Easy parking nearby and easy going with our dog. We had the beef and veggie roast both excellent. Great selection of beers and but for driving I would have liked to try them all. Overall an excellent pub.

We were staying in a cottage nearby. Went for a drink with group of 10. 6 adults 3 under 5 and a baby. Staff found us a table big enough for all of us. Lovely country pub. Didn't eat there but it did look nice. If we are in the area again would definitely re-visist.

just been for lunch and the food was 5* had the light bite menu and really was good quality beautiful roast dinner the veg was fresh the yorkshire pud was lovely beef was very tender my husband had the haddock chips and mushy peas he said the best he has had in along time we both had dessert wich was really good will be going again in the near future.

Arrived without a reservation on a Thursday evening, we had been to an event an was stopping on the way to our hotel. The lady at the bar fitted us in before a later reservation an gave us an hour an half which we gladly accepted. The pub was lovely, old setting but nice and warm and welcoming even to a family of 7 not from the area. They took our orders shortly after sitting us, and the drinks came quickly. Short wait for the food but completely acceptable times. Food was lovely all 6 adults and 2 kids agreed and empty plates sent back, the only down side was as we didn’t book we didn’t have time for dessert, (in hindsight we should have asked if we could have took away). Arrived on time for our booking had short wait as no one at bar we were shown to our table when a member of staff arrived. Drinks order taken arrived quickly given time to look at menu then order taken as I like at table. Starters arrived nicely presented eaten promptly all very nice plates cleared main courses served after short wait as this is a pub that serves fresh food cooked from fresh. This is where our experience changed we where asked of everything was ok for us. Table cleared when we had finished asked if we would like dessert menu yes please we replied. We waited waited asked again when they where thrown on table we then waited but after 25 mins from saying yes to us going paying...
