"small but charming, this restaurant we discovered a little by chance and especially because almost all others are closed on Sunday and Monday. Thanks to the chef for these delicious dishes. Thanks the boss and waitress for their discreet and very pro work and a mention of excellence and encouragement especially for zoe who will recognize. I forgot the title of the dishes and as it is a market and a seasonal kitchen they change very often but go the eyes closed, everything is good. We also discovered very beautiful regional wines. very soon"

"Nous sommes arrivés à quatre vers 21h00 et avons eu une table avec cette superbe vue sur la Loire et le chateau de Montsoreau. Côte de boeuf pour quatre personnes accompagnée de ratatouille, frites et écrasé de pomme de terre, le tout arrosé d'une bouteille de vin rouge Filliatreau vieilles vignes 2015! personnel attentif et prevenant, la cuisine est élaborée sur un fourneau "open air" je pense appréciable pour le personnel en cette période de canicule! Je recommande cette adresse!"

"De passage à Saumur autour de ce 14 juillet caniculaire, nous avons fui la ville bruyante - où se pressait une foule disparate et désagréable - pour les bords de Loire. Passés par hasard devant la "Mangeoire" (dont le nom nous a d'abord rebutés avant de se rendre compte qu'il s'agissait tout bonnement d'un terme lié à l'Histoire, si évidente dans la région), Très agréable moment sur la petite terrasse ombragée. L'hôtesse est charmante et attentive. Son époux, aux fourneaux, nous a régalés d'une nourriture régionale avec un brin de fantaisie. Très bon rapport qualité-prix pour le menu à 27€. Délicieux desserts. Nous y retournerons si nous sommes de nouveau dans la région, surtout après de mauvaises expériences à Saumur. Un parking privatif se trouve face au restaurant de l'autre côté de la route. A 10mn de Saumur, une halte sans prétention à faire connaître."

"I am really not one to complaint. Ever. This restaurant looked really promising and I’m sure the food is delicious. However we waited on the terrace under the afternoon sun for more than 25-30 minutes without much of an acknowledgement or even a glass of water or bread. All fine. I go to grab their attention and the serving lady dismissed me in her great stress shrugging her shoulders like it had nothing to do with her. And still 5 minutes later didn’t act on it. Just sitting there on an empty sad table, burning under the sun without knowing what or when to expect... we left. If you can’t attend so many tables then don’t put so many tables out."

"Welcoming staff upon our arrival and clear explanations. Perfect room, and we weren't able to take full advantage of our terrace, because of the rain. Secure parking. Pleasant lounge bar For the restaurant, it is better to book in advance. Delicious and sufficient local slate menu, democratic price. Second day: we enjoyed our terrace, the sun came out. Otherwise, the meal was really excellent. The staff always so friendly, even if some were there in the morning at 8 a.m., and still smiling at 9 p.m."
