Once again absolutely brilliant, it never disappoints, the food is amazing, great choice well presented, great staff especially the robot, thank you all

Our first time at this restaurant. We were blown away with the quality of the food and service. Probably the best we've ever had coming to the Isles. Just one small point about the robot delivery of food....... a bit pretentious and not needed for an island restaurant.

Our evening at On The Quay was the highlight of our holiday on the Isles of Scilly. The food was fabulous, service was great and the atmosphere in the restaurant was terrific. What an excellent place to eat . The food was delicious, especially the mussels, my lovely wife who doesn’t usually eat them , tried mine and then could stop eating them . The best she had had in years . All the food looked great whatever you were too choose. Staff as everywhere on The Scillys are so friendly and helpful. A must place to eat and when we visit again will eat here again

My wife and I had a meal here yesterday evening. The staff were so happy, friendly and helpful. The tables are set apart from each other with plenty of room in between, giving a very spacious feel. The food was incredible with a great choice, especially if you like fish. (My wife is vegetarian and recommends the butternut squash risotto). I had the mussels which were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this very professionally run establishment and can’t wait to go back.

Unsurprisingly popular, relaxed but serious seafood restaurant upstairs on the quay. A really good menu with lots of choice and something for everyone. Very attentive, delightful and helpful staff with our particular requests and preferences. The mussels from Fowey were huge and juicy, spanking fresh and a baked whole Cornish sole served on the bone was sweet and tender with just enough buttery seasoning to make it irresistible. We went for a Birthday treat . The server was polite and prompt . The shared starter was delicious and timely . Unfortunately there was a bit of a wait for the main and then the fish skewer was very very overcooked , and the chips were tepid, we can only assume it had kept warm. The fish on the rock was delicious but obviously not over cooked as we cooked it fresh ourselves! Kitchen mistakes occur but to be told “the other one he cooked at the same time for another table didn’t receive complaints” is not helpful! Yes they offered to cook something fresh which we declined as would have left us both eating alone, but they did discount the meal which we appreciated

Things started badly. We arrived at the same time as a family with an elderly relative. The double entry doors did not open to allow the wheelchair through and the lift did not work. This needs sorting ASAP. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They took our order. People ordering after us received their drinks. We did not so had to chase them. Our main course then arrived at the same time as our starter. We refused the starter! The man course fish was delicious but the vegetables were cold. The desserts were delicious. We told the staff about our issues and they offered us our drinks free. When the bill came only one drink had been credited not two. So all in all not a particularly good...

I have not been to Scilly for some years this restaurant as On the Quay, was new to me. Lovely ambiance, terrific staff excellent food., would highly recommend! I've read some of the recent reviews below cannot believe they have been to the same place. I feel very sorry for the owner staff who work so hard to try please everyone. Why would someone say they have waited for 1.5 hrs for a starter, when they didn't? My experience was very positive indeed. Watching the restaurant during service, the whole place ran like a well oiled machine.
