The food was burnt and of very poor quality. Charging $4.95 for a tiny thimble of steak sauce felt greedy. The chips were black and completely spoiled what should have been a lovely anniversary dinner. I definitely won't be returning or recommending Porterhouse to anyone. We were on holiday and decided to try Porterhouse and we were not disappointed! The steak was so tender and tasty; it was the best steak we have ever had!! The Diane sauce was to die for. The chips were fantastic. The special dessert was cherry cheesecake and oh my gosh it was so creamy and tasty. The servers were ever so nice and polite asking us questions about ourselves and making suggestions on how to have my steak and what wine to have etc. We live 8 hours away so not like we can pop up for a nice meal, but if we ever come this way again, we will definitely come back. Best meal we’ve had in a long time.

However, the fries were disappointing—some were very dark and even burnt, clearly overcooked—and the onion rings were very bland. As others have mentioned, the small amount of sauce you get for £4.95 is quite ridiculous! The desserts were mostly decent, although I ordered a tarte tatin and what I received was just a dry slice of apple on a piece of dry puff pastry. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not great either. While the staff was polite, they seemed lacking in enthusiasm and were just going through the motions.
