The Anstruther Boathouse

We had a fantastic experience with delicious food at great prices. The staff were lovely, and Audrey went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We can't wait for our next visit!

I had an amazing lunch! If seafood chowder is on the menu, it's a must-try. I couldn't wait to dig into it, so I didn't take any photos. The fish was delicious, and in some cases, it wasn't overdone or just battered haddock.

This place is awesome! The staff are super nice and really funny. The food tastes incredible—seriously, you have to try it! The burgers are AMAZING! I totally recommend eating here! (This is from a 10-year-old's perspective!) Speisekarte ansehen

Great food and great service! Fraser made us feel welcome and at ease. No sooner were our glasses empty, Fraser magically refilled them. Would highly recommend The Boathouse which doesn’t have an inflated sense of self unlike other establishments in Anstruther. Like Fraser, a wee gem.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and I will definitely return. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; our server, Fraser, was especially kind. Thank you for a great experience, and I look forward to coming back soon!

I enjoyed a fantastic experience at the restaurant with their beer and prawn fajitas; both were excellent! I highly recommend them. I've tried fajitas before, but I've never had them with prawns this fresh. They were perfectly spiced and accompanied by plenty of peppers, onions, salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. This charming little pub offered a fantastic dining experience! The fish and chips were beautiful, with the haddock melting in my mouth and the homemade chips just perfect. I also highly recommend the tempura prawns, chicken strips, and mac and cheese. The staff was incredibly friendly. We stumbled upon this place by chance after our original choice was closed, and wow, am I glad we did!

Had a lovely afternoon in the Boathouse we with Fraser he was so accommodating he told us that he would create a table for us adhering to the social distancing rules and we were able to enjoy an afternoon eating and drinking. Fraser could not have done enough for us taking our order and bringing our food and several drinks to our table. Lovely friendly service and it was a breath of fresh air with all the COVID concerns going on. So thank you Fraser for a most enjoyable day.

I had another fantastic meal here the other night. We were pleased with the reserved seating, and the staff was very accommodating. As always, I enjoyed the delicious chowder, which I’ve been savoring for years—this may have been the best version yet. I followed it with the fish and chips, expertly prepared by Graham. The batter was thin and crispy, and the fish was incredibly fresh. My wife loved the smoked squid as well—it was delicious. We were attended to by the polite and efficient Murray, who provided excellent service. Keep up the great work, team! I can’t wait to return to this gem for another amazing dining experience.
